10A smart plug with Energy monitoring- Suitable for small appliances like TVs, Electric Kettle, Mobile and Laptop Chargers (Works with Alexa and Google Assistant)

The 10A socket is universal and accepts plugs of different types. As suggested by another user I used the Smart life app and the plug works really seamlessly with the app. Two features that I was looking for is available. 1. I wanted the socket to be off by default after a power outage - I can confirm that this is possible by setting the relay status to OFF in the smart life app. 2. I wanted the socket to auto OFF after a duration even if the WiFi goes off - I can confirm that this is also possible by using the Inching feature. So when the inching is set to 1 hour and I switch on the plug at 6am and the wifi goes off at 6:55 am, the plug will still switch off at 7am (exactly 1 hour after it was switched on). Please note that I didn't use the wipro app and all the functionalities I needed was available using the smart life app. There's one functionality missing though - When either power/wifi is down during the switch on time, the device doesn't automatically switch on post power/wifi is restored. This might just be an app limitation and the workaround is to schedule multiple fallback switch on events.

Using it for a week now. It is a good product. I am using it for my workstation and can create routine so as to save electricity when not in use. And can be controlled with alexa or google home. Only gripe I have is it connects to 2.4 ghz WiFi only and the app also needs your mobile to be connected to 2.4 ghz WiFi. Rest no issues till now.

A very good product one can rely upon. Excellent response on Alexa voice command. It's just about less than a month that it was purchased. Durability to be assessed only after certain period on usage. One can go for it without a second thought. Am using for my Aqua guard water unit as plugin where you can fix the On/Off Schedule and link with Alexa Voice command. Initial setting may take some time till you complete the process. Follow instruction manual provided with product. I rate it as 5 star.

Works as expected. Simply plug, pair using wipro app and boom! Easy UI and loads of features. I really like the inching feature that turns off the device based on a timer. We can create schedules as well to auto turn on/off at certain time of the day. It has it's own tic-tac switch to manually turn on/off. I was sceptical looking at the review but using it sibce 2weeks, no issues observed. 10A is also enough for a room heater upto 800w. Works seamlessly with Alexa too! Very Disappointing Experience with Wipro 10A Smart Plug – Poor Quality and Unreliable Product I purchased a set of two Wipro 10A Smart Plugs (Model: B08HNB2FSH) from Amazon India in late September 2025, expecting reliable performance for home automation and energy monitoring. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Within a very short period of use, one of the plugs failed completely—it stopped responding, showed no lights or connectivity, and could not be reset or made to work through any recommended troubleshooting steps. All usage was well within the guidelines, and the faulty unit was installed and operated exactly as per instructions. Shockingly, while the second plug from the same lot continues to function, the failed unit became completely non-responsive in just a few weeks. This points to serious quality and consistency issues in Wipro's manufacturing process for their smart plugs. For a product designed for daily home use, such early breakdown is unacceptable. In summary: One out of two plugs failed within weeks of purchase. Standard troubleshooting does not fix the issue; the device remains dead. Not worth the risk for anyone seeking dependable smart home automation. I would not recommend this product based on my experience with quality and durability.​

This smart plug offers remote control via app and voice assistant, plus built-in energy monitoring so you can track how much power your device is using. It’s great for everyday appliances like TVs, fans, chargers. On the flip side, the energy readings might not always be perfectly accurate and it’s only rated for 10 A, so heavy appliances are a no-go. Overall: a good value for making small-to-medium loads smarter — just check that your appliance fits its rating.

First Understand 2 words "LAN (wifi on but without internet supply)" and "WAN (wifi on with internet supply). Device is so smart in WAN. As soon as you loose internet connection with the device, it becomes semi smart. This device can be used in LAN also but with limited features, i.e. countdown and on/off from the mobile app but the catch is you have to be connected with the same wifi which is connected with the device and so you can't control it far from your wifi's range. One thing troubles me in LAN is - schedule stops working completely. Even you can't re-enter any new schedule timing in LAN. Entries for schedule are only accepted by device when there is internet connection. When you are out of city and internet is gone then schedule will not work, it becomes super dumb here because it will not execute schedule timings you entered before. However if you had turned on notification while schedule time setting - then you will be notified that device was unable to execute, but thats all.. you can't do anything to make it work as per schedule. If schedule is so important for you then buy SONOFF Basic switch (this is not a plug, you have to work with wires to set this device - though its not tough, but incase you dont want to do it by ur self then call an electrician he will do it within 5 minutes ). In this device schedule works even after no internet supply. Because it remembers schedule. But if you had lost internet and then any single power drop after internet loss then the device forgets schedule and becomes super dumb till internet is back. If power drop is rare at your place then SONOFF does the job.
