Are these binoculars for kids? if so, for how old of the kids?

Kids have tiny hands and their hands are still developing. Due to this, they need a binocular that is not too heavy or too big. These binoculars measure 4.33in*3.94in*1.97in in dimensions are absolutely fit in kid's hands perfectly. Most Importantly, weight is only 0.6lb.

Are these good for plane watching?

Yes to a degree, obviously not as powerful as larger magnification binoculars but more than capable of bringing images to the eye. and identifying aircraft.

Are these good enough for a cricket match at old Trafford

Yes, my dad is delighted with his. Really clear, good optics (whatever they are!?) Would highly recommend

Are these good for using as opera glasses?

I haven't taken them to the theatre but they are light, compact and good to watch birds in the garden so I would recon the answer is yes.
