Great hatchery and superb customer service
Brine Shrimp works great! Hatches more shrimp than you'd expect. Very easy and foolproof to use. I place mine on a shelf under a light, shrimp hatch in less than 24 hrs, and I'm able to harvest for 3-4 days. Easy to clean as well. Important to make sure hatchery is level. Received superb customer service from Victoria at Brine Shrimp Direct - excelled in every way!

Easy and productive
This works really well. Easy to set up and clean. Eggs hatch quickly and all the shrimp congregate in the middle where you can use the dropper to get a few, or lift them all out with mesh strainer. It's a great system. No air needed. No messy clean up. You get the shrimp easily, with no eggshells.

Hassle free hatching
I just became a jellyfish mom and this is a 5 out of 5. I tried the other way to hatch and using this is so much easier and QUITE since no pump is needed. I don’t even know if a direct light is needed (I have one but turn it off and the shrimp do fine) I think this product should be in every store that sells other hatchery equipment.

With a few helpful tricks, this hatchery is very easy to use, and does its job very well.
I run two of these hatcheries through spring and summer to feed my Medaka (rice fish) fry. I keep both dishes warm on a seedling warming mat, and under a small gooseneck desk lamp that adds a bit of warmth as well as a strong light to attract the newly hatched shrimp to the center basket. I stagger seeding each hatchery every other day or two. That way I have a consistent supply of live brine shrimp to feed my fry. I use aquarium salt weighed out on a scale, and then dissolved into hot water. I let the salt water cool before adding to the hatchery, then I leave it to warm on the seedling mat (set on low for mine) for a bit before adding my brine shrimp eggs. For the eggs, I’ve had great success with those I’ve ordered from aquarium Co-op. Just keep the unhatched eggs cool and out of the sun. I rinse the shrimp off, still in the tiny basket, by dipping the basket into a small cup of filtered water. Once you have done this a few times, it becomes a super easy routine. The bowls do not take up that much space and are fairly inconspicuous, unlike most of the giant systems out there. As long as you rinse the bowls well, I use my garden hose, before each new batch of eggs, there should be very little to no smell. This is simply, the best option I have found on the market for my needs. If you are running an entire fish room this may not be a big enough system, but for raising a one or two hundred Medaka fry in garden ponds, two of these do the trick.

Good for small batches, might last a year (for me)
I have 2 of these, that little white cup with the netting will clog eventually and can not be cleaned by any ways I have seen. Also if you have a batch of Angelfish fry, (they can lay up to 300 eggs at a time) I feel you should go more industrial as I have found the 2 I have can not keep up with their appetites. I did give this a 5 star earlier, then the netting started to clog...nothing passes thru it now, it can not be swapped out or cleaned (tried soaking in vinegar and massaging, drying then scraping...nada) So unless I get, or make a replacement net for this ... its useless and Its heading to the can. Easy and fun while it lasted however.

it just works- very easy to use
originally i was going to return this lol since i figured its better to hatch with other methods. after multiple fails with other methods, i just came back to this dish because it just works... the fact it filters out all the shells perfectly is the best part. no nonsense, no fussing with stupid nets or whatever. the downside is this method is less efficient, but id rather deal with this method and not deal with shells.

Works as described
Product works as described and quite well. One word of caution, each batch of brine shrimp require a new salt water set up or your hat rates will dwindle drastically.

Being a first time mum to 1000’s of Axolotl’s I found it easy to make brine shrimp with one of these

Very ingenious principle to hatch bbs. It works very well but obviously at a very low hatching rate vs the traditional DYI hatching with heater and bubbler

Sirve para cuando tienes prisa pero por el precio creo que bien podrías comprar un oxigenador y la botella para eclosionar al máximo la artemia

Me gusto mucho por que es muy práctico pero el envío tardo mucho

Works brilliantly. You may harvest continually which the traditional bottles can't do; waste time and effort. Follow the instructions precisely for best results: stick with the 2 scoops and aquarium salt; don't add more.
