Black Luggage Tag (2 pcs)

These are probably the best quality luggage tags I've ever seen. I saw reviews talk about how big they were, but they weren't kidding; upon taking these out of the package I was surprised by the size and quality of these - they're even very thick as well, giving me an excellent impression of their quality. I've included a photo to show size comparison to my hand. The color is very nice, bright without being obnoxious, and attractive. It comes with two tags, each with their own paper insert, and two durable ties; this was perfect for me because I was going traveling in just a couple days with two suitcases. I got the yellow, and my suitcases were both silver and so with these attached to them they really stood out nicely and made the luggage easily identifiable for me! I didn't see anyone else with these tags too, so I kind of felt pretty unique in that regard - extra plus. I saw some people complaining about the steel-like ties that come with them, but I didn't have a single issue with them. I traveled twice - there and back via train and they held up very nicely. I like the paper insert that comes with them as well. It has space for only the vital information people would need to know - never put down your address on your tags! The people at Shacke know their stuff at least. I'm very happy with my purchase and if ever the need arises in the future I will definitely purchase more.

I like this tag for a few reasons: • It's rubber vs leather or metal which, in my opinion, is more practical, more my style personally, yet harder to find. I have a hard suitcase so leather tags with clasps and metal tags would more likely scratch my case's surface. • The metal wire ring is strong, yet takes up a much smaller footprint than the typical 1/2" thick leather strap + clasp. This is kind of a big deal to me as it lets my tag lay flat against the bag regardless of the angle at which it's attached. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase compared to what else is out there and the decent price point. But would LOVE if the tag was just a little more compact. It could EASILY be 1/4 the thickness and 1/2 the face size to cut down on bulk and weight. It's larger than the standard business card, and it's pretty heavy... I feel like the simple design of silicone and wire appeals to the type of audience who are looking for a practical design versus fancy brand name. If this tag were reduced in size (for 99% of people who ONLY need a name, phone number or email), that would be smart. This tag has a big enough card to write a mini biography. If the metal wire were covered in some kind of thin color-matching silicone (for style but mostly protection), along with reducing the weight and size, this tag could be a game changer. You may like the size and dramatic color options if you're the type who purely looks for travel gear that stands out on the baggage claim but less concerned with the factors that I mentioned.

These luggage tags are awesome. You will have a 0% chance of someone accidentally grabbing your bag at baggage claim. I recently bought a higher end Under Armour backpack that just happens to have a neon lime green interior, so these even look like they were meant to be used with my bag. I often travel to remote areas of the world for my job, so good luggage tags are important. They are so nice, in fact, that I plan on surprising my grouchy Scottish father with some at Christmas, since he accompanies me on my expeditions from time to time. Pros: -LARGE and easy to see. Much larger and thicker than the photos make them look. If someone at baggage claim grabs your bag, you can be like, "Hey, bro. That's clearly my bag. See the neon green Shacke Tag? Boom, thought so." "You're welcome, freshly stolen crystal skull, you will make it to the American museum of my choosing, where you belong." -The rubber material seems to be pretty much indestructible. Good for the airport, or for fighting Nazis at archaeological sites. -Your personal information can only be seen if someone takes the time to remove the connector ring and open the flap.Now nobody will find out that you stole your nickname from the family dog. -Price: These cost less than many "high end" luggage tags that I've had that were A) boring, and B) fell apart within a year of purchase. This is good, since the salary for a 1940's archaeology professor is pretty crappy, regardless of tenure. Cons: -The screw together wire ring seems like it could come undone, so I just used a large key ring to attach it to my bag for a more secure connection. Not a big deal at all, though. Probably me just being paranoid, as I usually travel with pounds of raw diamonds and other precious gems in my bags after my many adventures through booby trapped catacombs. I'm getting up there in years, but I definitely have at least one more expedition scheduled (2019 - check it out!). I'm glad I will have these luggage tags to help me protect my artifacts upon returning home. Would definitely buy again.
