This desk is perfect for my jewelry business! My office is our bed bc we don't have an office and the hubby is (still and permanently) working remotely....in the Dining Room. I had a lap desk, but it's cracking. This desk allows me to make jewelry on a good, flat, stationary surface at a comfortable height! If I need to adjust my position, I can fold it up and place it on a pillow to use as a lap desk. I cover it with a towel to protect the surface from the jeweler's tools and the towel slides a bit as I work but NBD. This desk is very beautiful and well made! I haven't had to raise it bc the height is perfect! The tilt feature is nice and solid. Great for holding note & drawing pads and books on the removable ledge. It folds nicely for low profile storage. I like the simple design without any bells and whistles and my phone fits in the slot nicely as long as it's in the case. I don't know about OtterBox cases, but it works well with my simple case. Also the holes for the charger plug are generous in size. I couldn't be more happy with any other desk! My only request would be to add a little recessed area to hold a coffee mug. 🙂 If you're looking for a quality, no nonsense desk, this one is for you! I'd rather put my money in to a solid wood, quality made desk than a mediocre one with extras, and this desk fits the bill! 🙂

I'm using this table right now, writing this review on my iPad. I came here to find an inexpensive table-top slanted surface on which to do art or calligraphy, and I found this. I took a chance on this because, unlike the table-top art tables in my local art store, this had legs and could be used for laptop/tablet while sitting on the floor or in bed, which is something I do a lot. I received it three days ago, and it's already indispensable. The pictures here show you everything you need to know, but here are the highlights: * Made of bamboo, and the finish is smooth. * It's well-crafted and sturdy. (I wouldn't sit on it, though. It's not made for that.) * It's perfect for desktop use, but you can also unfold the legs out and adjust their length, for a lap desk or even a tiny coffee table. * The top opens up to become a slanted surface for art or reading, with five angle settings. Unlike the reviews for one of the other tables I looked at here on Amazon, all five settings are sturdy and usable. When you have the top closed, there's a latch that holds it in place. * The baffle (Is that the right word? The strip of wood that your book/tablet rests on when the surface is slanted.) detaches so it's not there when you're using it as a table. There's a slot under the table that the baffle fits into so that you don't lose it.

It was a beautiful table. The wood coloration was gorgeous. It was smooth and durable and solidly built. The table was perfect in every way. Well worth the price.

Love the wood! Just a small split tear on the little part that sits on top but nothing major! I love how it is adjustable. Great desk!

I bought this to use for a very large Bible my friend gave to me. This lap table is the perfect size for the Bible. I keep the table folded down and on a stool I have when storing the Bible. I can easily lift it up when I want to do so. This table is versatile so I will be able to use it on my bed if I need to when sick. The only thing that is less than perfect is the little catches which hold the legs in position. When the legs are folded under the table, these little catches keep sticking out in the way. I am concerned that I will break them off.. Nice that the product has a year's warranty.

I wish I had ordered this years ago! I love it! it really reduces the strain on my neck when I am working on any painting projects. It's sturdy and well made. The angle adjustments are perfect. I can find the correct angle I need to be comfortable for many project I am working on. In like the fact that it is portable, so I can work in any room and not be stuck in one room with a full size drafting table. I would recommend this product highly.

This desk fits almost everything I could have wanted from a lap desk. It changes height in a step-less manner (and the legs lock into place so that they don’t collapse while in use), it changes angle, it’s sanded and sealed and perfectly smooth, it even has a removable bar at the bottom so that if it’s tilted, your computer/drawing pad/whatever doesn’t slide off onto your lap. I have not tried the tablet and phone holder slots yet, but look forward to doing so. It was shipped securely so that it did not break in transit, and the price point seems accurate for the quality and longevity that I expect from this desk. The only other things I could have wanted are for it to allow locking in place at a steeper angle (so that I could rest my iPad on it and have it at a comfortable TV viewing angle, or for more upright painting), and for it to have built in storage for art supplies/desk supplies/etc. I am not deducting a star for those things because it was very clear in the description which specific angle degree range it allows and that it has no storage. I have a tabletop easel with storage that I can use in conjunction with this desk if I need those specific functions to be filled.

I got this with a $50 gift card for Christmas. Was looking for a small table or something to use with drawing and art on the couch or living room since my kitchen table studio is already full. This is very sturdy and love that it can be used as a mini, drafting table, art/drawing or even just a table for remote working with my iPad and cell phone or even TV tray. It later said this was the last one available, but the company has very similar other styles, and I would highly recommend. Everything works as the videos described and easily adjustable. A little metal prongs that you push in to keep everything sturdy fit a little tight and might be a little hard for fingers that aren’t very strong but excellent quality.

I've used this a few times as a bed table when I've been unwell and it's really sturdy. I love that it can be set so the legs won't fold in while it's in use. I was able to have soup with it (which I would never trust to have in bed if the table weren't sturdy) without any spills or slippage - I did use a non-skid type placemat with it to both protect the wood from the heat but also to keep the bowl in one place. I also used my Macbook on the table with no issues at all. I haven't tried using the Macbook as a standing desk with the top of the desk tipped, but I'm keeping the wooden insert for that purpose so when I do start using it, I can set it up for easier typing. Definitely worth my purchase.

If you suffer from any kind of chronic back pain, this item could be your version of salvation. It's four legs and drafting table styled lit let you sit up properly having no chance to bend your cervical spine, thoracic spine, and your lumbar spine. About six days after starting using this item, painful sensation on my feet disappeared. I have worked for one of the biggest company as a mechanical engineer and studied the first year of medical science. Considering my personal experience and professional knowledge, you hardly find better items on the Internet. However, there are few things the company has to consider to change to be a more valued item. One of the most significant issues is the angle of the top layer of the book supporter. There are few clever way to maintain the almost perpendicular angle not letting the lit fall forward. (I actually modified the table ...and I read a book sitting on the supporter 90degrees.

This table is the best thing we EVER bought on Amazon. It is so beautifully made. My husband uses it in bed minus the littlle wooden attachment and just balances his laptop (or with a blob of blu tax under computer) on it as an absolutely perfect laptop desk. Absolutely magnificent.

The table is great - I am using it to enhance the space on my tiny little art studio/office - it works great for that. The only thing to be wary of is that as the legs are slightly splayed the space required is greater than the top of the table. The quality is good and it was easy to put together.

My teenage daughter loves to use this table. She is a floor sitter so uses it to draw and craft with.
