Let's Go to the Potty!: A Potty Training Book for Toddlers

I think this is an excellent book to prepare your toddler for potty training. I looked at several books, but they were too silly and not straightforward enough. I wanted something fun and cute but straightforward enough to use as a teaching tool to introduce my toddler to what it will be like to potty train. This book was perfect for us. It has sweet and fun illustrations that are appropriate for a boy or a girl and don’t show any private parts or excrement. It uses clear and concise language (such as “you might have to wait for the pee and poop to come out”) that a toddler can understand. It also tells each step of potty training: wearing diapers, how to know when to use the potty, what steps to take when it’s time to go potty, and starting to wear underwear. My 2.5-year-old really enjoys reading this book and has requested it repeatedly. He interacts with it and seems to be learning from it. This is a great teaching tool and I would definitely recommend it!

My 2 year old loves this book. He insists that we read it almost every time he sits down to potty. He loves singing the little song. I think it’s helped tremendously with the process. This is the 3rd child I’ve potty trained and this has probably been my favorite potty book and most loved by toddler. If you’re worried it’s too long from other reviews — don’t be. I don’t understand how anyone could think this book is too long! It only takes a few minutes to read as there is about one sentence on every page. I personally appreciate that they broke it up that way because it allows me to stretch the book out and take longer if I need to (some potty breaks take quite a long time… as any one in the trenches of training can tell you 😝)

Cute little potty book for potty training days!

This book was so exciting for both me and my toddler. We really enjoyed looking at the pictures together and mimicking the examples. It was such a fun and engaging experience, and truly felt like a special treat for us to share.

Our toddler loves this book more than any of the other potty training books we’ve gotten her. Sometimes she’ll ask me to read it to her, and other times she prefers to flip through it on her own. It has been the best thing to keep her engaged while she’s sitting on the potty. (It’s also a really well written story, with cute illustrations!)

Such a lovely book! Potty training can be a challenge, but my toddler genuinely loves reading this one. The illustrations are engaging and the story makes the whole process feel very positive and approachable. It’s become a daily favorite in our house

Eu comprei a versão Kindle porque a impressa sairia cara por ser uma compra internacional. Gostei muito da história: é acolhedora, leve, tem a preocupação de não gerar traumas no processo de desfralde. Minha filha adora, principalmente porque ela tem uma girafa parecida com a do livro. A criança entende o processo de forma lúdica.

This is the perfect book for toddlers learning to potty train. The images are delightful and the accompanying text is relevant and accurate. You can tell the author has experience on the topic. Purchased for a second birthday present as an introduction to potty training. The only thing missing is the tune for the potty song, but I just made up my own.

Illustrations are nice but story is not very engaging
