Replacement for mk4 Jetta
Fits mk4 Jetta. Easy to swap old pump for this one. Car fired right up after replacement. About a month after replacement and no signs of malfunction. Cheapest replacement at auto store was $300+ (also for a Bosch) so very happy.

Perfect replacement for 2004 Jetta 2.0
21 minute install. Everything worked fine once hooked up. Didn't want to go with the cheapest option so I will report back if this fails prematurely.

Fit in a 2002 VW Jetta - Contained All Necessary Parts
I installed this on my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta. Installation was fairly easy and only took about an hour and a half. This product included the rubber gasket and float for the fuel level, and my car started right up after installation. The only issue is that my gas tank was completely full and the pump I was replacing had a sealed case. This pump is open (you can see in the picture that there isn't a cover for the middle part), so some fuel spilled. Besides that, no issues. It fit and worked perfectly and I'm now back on the road.

Installed on a 2003 VW Jetta 2.0L - came with all necessary parts
To clarify, I purchased the Bosch 69740 that was delivered direct from Amazon (not a third-party). I received a fuel pump as pictured with a new gasket and level float. Installation was simple and quick. Can't speak to the longevity of the unit as it was just installed, but the car fired right up after installation. This resolved issues with starting/hesitation. In reading the reviews, looking at the photos, and reading the questions and answers on Amazon, there seems to be confusion on the fuel pump that's being referenced. One photo someone else posted has a VDO logo on the instructions, which is a different brand and slightly different part (I don't believe it comes with the level float).

Looked like a good pump but was never able to install. Didn't fit.
This review is not really for the pump itself. I was never able to try it. When it came I was pleasantly surprised it came with the lever and a new gasket, (does not show that in description or picture) but then disappointed it did not have a strainer on the bottom. (Where can you buy this?) The flange at the top looked different as soon as I got the old one out, you could see the original pump had a bigger flange at the top. I went back to the computer to continue my research. Even went online to local big box part stores to search again. They said this pump is for wagon models. (I don't know, or care, all I know is it didn't fit my 2004 Jetta 2.0) The problem comes with the drop down boxes for the model/engine etc from Amazon. They listed 3 options for my vehicle for engine. ALL three showed the SAME thing so I figured there was no difference. Even if I changed the model from GL to GLS the same three engine options showed. I rolled the dice I guess and was happy with the cost versus local box stores. Just not the right part. I will be sending this back.
