Sila-Tek 3500 Cocrete Densifier & Hardener
Product showed up on time, without damage, and was very well packaged. I'll be using this on a 30 year old unsealed concrete garage floor to treat it prior to doing repairs to some salt eaten areas, then top coating with an epoxy seal coat. I'm not expecting miracles, but if it strengthens the existing concrete before patching, that'll be great. It's also a concentrate, so the gallon you buy makes 5 gallons of product to treat your concrete.

Mixes well, goes down easy with a low pressure sprayer and doesn't change the color of natural concrete. I used it for the concrete strip in front of the garage and the back steps and cellar hatchway that I had refinished last month. I applied it last week so I haven't really seen what it does with rain or winter. Also, be aware that this is a concentrate and makes 4 gallons.

Salt Crystallization Issues
I ran into quite a few issues with this product. Before purchasing, I called the company to better understand it and was assured this was what I needed, with no reservations mentioned, so I went ahead and applied it. Unfortunately, salt crystals formed on about 40% of my square footage, something that apparently happens when the product reacts with salt in the concrete. I was not made aware this was a possibility when I asked about the pros and cons, and I’ve since spent hours brushing and sanding away the salt before I could seal the concrete. If left, the salt prevents proper adhesion of top coats. Despite doing research, I did not know enough to avoid this issue and wish I had gone a different route. Where salt crystallization did not occur, the product seems to have worked well. However, I would not recommend it for amateurs like myself who only take on concrete home repairs occasionally and don’t have a deep understanding of concrete’s salt properties.

Great finish.
5 step grinding, densify, dyed and 2 coats water based matte urethane. Acetone concrete dye. Product helped create a great finish

Read description carefully. Should be clear that this only works on concrete.
I was hoping that this would penatrate a cement block wall and densify the deterioration of the cinder block. It didn’t. Now I realize what is causing the flaking and have another solution but it’s not this.
