Impressive Bee Suit - A Must-Have for Fearless Warriors
I recently had a remarkable encounter with a relentless yellow jacket nest that led me to test the boundaries of my bee suit. Armed with determination and my trusty 2x4, I embarked on a mission to remove a massive hive from my property. Amidst the chaos, the bee suit I donned proved to be a game-changer, offering unparalleled protection and ensuring my safety throughout the endeavor. I was removing a massive hive for 30 minutes without a single bite. Durability and Protection: 5/5 From the moment I zipped up the bee suit, I was impressed by its robust construction. The suit held up exceptionally well as I maneuvered around the hive, even with a 2x4 in hand I used to scrape the hive off the bottom of my deck. Notably, not a single bee managed to penetrate the suit's defenses, despite my proximity to their hive and the forceful expulsion of parts of the nest. Hood Design and Accessories: 4.5/5 Wearing a baseball cap under the hood, as suggested by fellow bee warriors, provided an extra layer of protection for my head and face. The hood effectively shielded me from potential stings, although an adjustable tightening mechanism would be a useful addition for a more customized fit. Comfort and Layering: 4/5 Layering proved to be a strategic choice. The thick Carhartt jacket, combined with work jeans, enhanced insulation without compromising mobility. The extra layers, along with duct tape sealing on gloves and ankles, contributed significantly to the suit's effectiveness in keeping the hornets at bay. However, an additional inner lining for added comfort during prolonged use would be appreciated. Ease of Use: 4/5 The bee suit was relatively easy to put on and take off, even under the circumstances of a bee removal operation. The zipper mechanism held up well, and the suit's sizing proved accurate for a comfortable fit over my clothing. In conclusion, the bee suit I used during my yellow jacket nest removal proved itself as a stalwart defender against nature's fierce inhabitants. Its durability, effective hood design, and compatibility with additional layers of clothing are commendable features. While some minor enhancements could elevate its comfort level, the bee suit exceeded my expectations in delivering the protection and peace of mind needed for such daring undertakings.

"Perfect Fit and Quality - A Beekeeper's Dream Suit!"
Last month, we encountered an unexpected situation when a swarm of bees decided to make a temporary home in our backyard vegetable garden. As novice beekeepers, this presented both a challenge and an opportunity. To safely manage the situation, I purchased a beekeeper suit for my husband, who is quite a big guy at 6’1” and around 250 lbs. We have often struggled to find the right fit in the past, but this suit proved to be an exception. The suit arrived in perfect condition, and to our relief, it was a perfect fit for my husband. The quality exceeded our expectations. The fabric feels durable yet comfortable, offering ample protection without sacrificing mobility, which is crucial for beekeeping tasks. The veil provided clear visibility and the suit covered every inch, ensuring maximum protection from bee stings. What impressed us most was the attention to detail in its design. The zippers and elastic bands at the wrists and ankles were of high quality, which are often overlooked in other suits. Plus, it was surprisingly easy to put on and take off, a definite plus after a long day of tending to bees. The price point was the cherry on top. Given the quality and fit, we expected it to be more expensive, but it was quite affordable. This suit not only met but exceeded our expectations. To sum it up, we are more than happy with this purchase. It has allowed us to safely and comfortably manage our new beekeeping adventure. I highly recommend this suit to any novice or experienced beekeeper looking for a reliable, high-quality, and well-fitting beekeeper suit.

Gave me the confidence to take on the yellow jackets!
Update-Please be aware that you probably will need at least 2 applications of hornet spray to kill all the yellow jackets that are building a nest in the walls of your home. This one was so bad they were eating through the drywall and entering the house. The day after I did the first application, I bug bombed the room they were coming in and sealed all spaces around the door so they could not escape. 2 days later, sure enough, they were still leaving and entering the nest. This time I bug bombed the room first, sealed it again and went outside at midnight and used the whole can to spray around the entire exterior window frame again. Completely killed all remaining yellow jackets. I did not enter the room for 3 days just in case. Glad I didn't because there was at least a hundred dead ones on the floor. Please be careful, observe their behavior, make a plan of attack and you will be successful. We usually have to deal with the in ground nests that I find by mowing over them. Ow! A few years ago I ended up with 13 stings in one day and had to chew a few benadryl to stop my throat closing up. This year they were in the window frame and were coming and going in the hundreds in five minute time frames. Yikes! Stocked up on multiple cans of wasp and hornet spray but couldn't work up the nerve to go after them. Decided on checking for a bee suit on amazon and found this one. After checking the fit chart, I chose the xxl size. I am only 5 feet tall but I wanted it to be loose and comfortable. The leg length didn't matter because there is elastic at the bottom of the leg which fit well around my boots. Gloves fit well enough and went far up my arm. I set out to spray around midnight and the frame had around 25 guards along the side. I sprayed around the whole perimeter of the window until the can was empty. Fortunately not one survived to attack me, but at least now I feel safe enough to do the job myself. I am happy with the quality, will update if issues arise in the future.

Runs small, tight in crotch, honey bees only
The suit is well made. Would have gotten 5 stars except the suit runs small for a 3XL. I’m 6’1” 270lbs, the description says it’ll fit 6’3”to 6’8” and there’s no way this will fit a 6’3” person because I could barely get in it. Once in the suit it was very tight in the crotch. Other than that it fit well. I know nothing about bee suits if this is the real deal or not but it served its purpose when I sprayed a hornets nest the size of a large watermelon (at night) the hornets came at me but I don’t know if they tried to sting me or not. FYI the suit is for honey bees not hornets or wasps, their stingers are longer. I think I got lucky. If you’re using for hornets nest removal I recommend do your research and wear a couple layers of clothing under this suit for extra protection

Comfortable and Safe
Exactly what I needed for my wasps issue! I had to take matters in to my own hands as wasps had nested under the siding of my house. An exterminator could only spray so much and can't/won't remove house siding. I needed something affordable and functional for a one time use (hopefully) and it did the job. Not one sting. I felt comfortable and safe. I'll keep it around in case the wasps come back plus the wife said I can wear it as a Halloween costume next year lol

Worked great
This worked great for removing a yellow jacket nest under my home’s eaves. A good trick was to fill the bottom of a shop vac with about 32 oz of water and vacuum the bugs as they exited the nest site. They drowned in the vacuum and less poison was needed to kill the nest. I went slow and sucked them up a few at a time as they tried entering and exiting the nest so as not to anger the whole nest at one time. The suit itself fit me well but I did wear an additional hat underneath to keep the suit off the top of my head. The gloves and suit kept the bugs from biting.

Go one size up.
I'm 5.5ft. When it comes to clothing, I'm between medium and large. After reading the description and reviews (and yes, reading Amazon's notice of high return rate), I still ordered a large thinking it would fit. When it arrived, I tried it on. It seemed a bit tighter than I expected, but doable. Then I did the bend over test. The suit didn't split or anything, but it got uncomfortable quick. Large isn't going to work at all. Loose covering is important, especially over sensitive areas. As far as quality, I didn't see anything I thought was a deal breaker. The seams looked good. The hood looked adequate. The zipper on the left side of the hood didn't seem to want to close all the way but I didn't try to work it because this will be returned. I would use tape over the flap, ankles and wrists anyway. The elastic is snug, but not too tight. The gloves are a little thinner than I expected, but comfortable. I did not take it on a test run because it will be returned. Suggestion: even if you are medium-large like me, save yourself the time and get the extra large from the get-go. The large simply isn't large enough. Will update the review after I'm able to get a larger suit to test out. EDIT: The XL fits comfortably. I ended up braving the two yellow jacket nests at night w/o a suit (they were terrorizing my dogs, and I had to do something). That said, I haven't had the chance to test it yet, but I feel a lot better knowing I have it for next time. Bee Safe!
