Two questions: medium or fine point?? Next, how do these pens last in comparison to other brands? Thanks.

these pens have a medium point. I have these ones in medium point but I use the black ones in fine point. I think the medium point pens seem to write more smoothly, but I have really small handwriting so I like to have the black ones in fine point for taking notes. These are a very comfortable pen to use, and I think they last a long time. I write at least 70 pages front and back before the pen runs out.

I'm not sure what you mean by mush, but the point doesn't mash down like a felt tip pen, and it doesn't constantly accumulate a glob of ink like some cheaper ballpoint pens do. It's very good for ball point pen illustration.

Is this true burgundy/maroon or is it in fact RED ink?

I can only assume if it says Burgundy Maroon, then that is the color it will wriite. I've ordered a few ccolors from them before and not once did they write a different color than I expected. I've ordered the red pens before and they looked nothing like this.

Does the assorted color 8-pack come in fine point?
