Ochakovsky Kvas (pack of 4)

One of my favorite drinks, so it's nice to be able to get it delivered directly to my door. I just wish that they sold them in larger cases to get more bang for your buck.

Simply the best!

I was expecting the хлебный квас, but this is just a malt beverage like a lot of Latin American countries drink. I was disappointed, but it was my bad for not double-checking whether it was bread kvass, or not. It’s not bad at all; it tastes like malt/molasses. If you love malt, this drink is for you. I love how fast they arrived, though. Wonderful, quick service.

I missed this drink a lot. I used to drink it in Russia, it was sweet for me. I tried this one. It's a weak imitation of kvass. It's 80% water to dilute real kvass. Don't buy it. It's a deception.

One of my favorite квас varieties. Many of the imports I have tried are overly sweetened to the point of tasting like a cola. Ochakovsky tastes more like a home brewed kvas, tart with a mild sweetness and a pronounced rye flavor. This is the perfect beverage for a hot summer day after mowing the grass or doing yard work, very light and refreshing.

I’ve never tasted anything like this! I probably won’t ever buy it again because it must be an acquired taste. I was expecting something totally different but not like this. If I had to describe the taste I would have to say it tastes like soy sauce and some type of plant that I can’t place at the moment. When it’s ice cold it does have a sort of different taste but it still isn’t great. I’m testing any and all out of the US sodas at this time.

May buy more. I would avoid the bottled version though..
