It does not lock into place, and you’re likely to create a splash of hot coffee. Final Thoughts: I use this every morning with my AGOGO 40oz pour-over coffee maker and it’s worked great. It doesn’t lock into place, but it sits well enough to help hold in heat, especially when paired with a warmer underneath. The bamboo looks clean and natural on the counter and fits the aesthetic of a pour-over setup nicely. Just make sure to wipe it down regularly like any wood or bamboo product. Great price as well. Recommended!

Good quality. Fitting into cone shape is good. Keeps flies out of container. Helps keep the coffee warm a good 30 minutes.

Perfect fit. I also have glass top which is beautiful but require extra steps to remove pour liquid and replace on carafe. Will be interesting to find out how well HEXNUB – Bamboo Lid for Chemex Coffee Maker stays put with steam and heat factored in while pouring. With lid sitting on empty carafe it will easily stay on at 100 degree tilt. Intend to exercise caution with hot liquid and hold down with hand during initial use. It appears to be well made and round no wonkiness good silicone seal. Update; used top over carafe in place with 500mL HOT coffee and poured out without any accidental spills. Impressive so far, worked as advertised. Third attempt fail. Best for me is to remove top before pouring.

I purchased the lid to use in my new 6-cup Chemex. I appreciated an email from the seller about the lid not being suitable for constant use if the carafe is being kept warm on a heating element. I hadn't thought about the possibility that the wood could be damaged.

Great looking lid and works well. BUT! The bamboo lid is laminated and not solid. As a result it is not heat resistant and will shrink, warp, discolor and fall apart over time. It lasted for around six months and for $10, it was still worth it. It is bio degradable and just get a new one for the price of a store bought cuppa. I am going to try the beech version to see whether that is any different.

Works well and keeps the heat trapped inside our Chemex. It’s cute, too!

So sad. This is a PERFECT lid for Chemex and nicely compliments the collar of the carafe...HOWEVER, this is my second one that was a replacement: the first lasted about 1 month and then split into three separate pieces. The replacement came quickly enough but lasted ONE WEEK before splitting in three...I liked the fit better than the glass version made by Chemex, but the fact that they piece it together to make the circle, using CHEAP glue and KNOWING it will absorb heat, steam, moisture from the hot coffee it covers, and thus break apart, I am sad that there was not better quality management or engineering brains involved.

Das Teil ist viel kleiner als man denkt. Es erfüllt seinen Zweck. Ich glaube, für Vielnutzer ist das nichts, es (Bambus) wird sich auflösen, je mehr es der Feuchte ausgesetzt ist. Entsprechende Bilder gibt es hier in den Rezensionen. Also: wenn der Kaffee getrunken ist, Deckel abnehmen und trocknen lassen.

This lid fits perfectly on my chemex pour over carafe. Keeps it a hot for a bit longer than without. The rubber seal helps protect from scratching the inside

Beautiful, lightweight and fits like a glove. It’s exactly as they advertise and works wonderfully.

Looks nice on my Chemex and fits perfectly. I think it helps a bit keeping the coffee warmer, but I enjoy using it more because it looks cool. Not a must-have, but it's definitely a great accessory.
