Magpul PMAG Impact Dust Cover (6-Pack)

Regardless of what others have posted or answered, these fit Magpul P-Mag GEN 2 magazines both unloaded and fully loaded with no problems. As you can see in the attached pictures the packaging is clearly marked for GEN 2 MOE or EMAG magazines and is the correct Magpul part number. The locking tab on these GEN 2 covers fits just as securely as the GEN 3 dust cover does on the GEN 3 mags and it locks in place whether you like to load your magazines full or one short of full. Even with a full 30 rounds in GEN 2 magazines, the cover presses the follower down far enough to take pressure of the magazine feed lips and it protects the first round from damage like it was designed to do. You’ll get two packages of the Magpul MAG216 covers. Each package contains 3 GEN 2 dust covers for a total of 6 covers. You can shop around and find these cheaper from some other retailers (Buds, Primary Arms, Optics Planet, PSA, etc.), but it’s hard to beat the free shipping from Amazon. BLUF, these are a cheap and an easy way to ensure you have no problems with loaded mags if you store them for a long time. I load mine up, install the dust covers, and store in 30cal ammo boxes so that I have a minimum loadout of 7 full mags (6 in the boxes and 1 in mag well) for each rifle and that is easily transportable.

Worked on gen 2 and gen 3 mags. Windowed and windowless. 30 round and 40 round. Fits well with all. Other reviews may be using out of date information. All mine are fine. And I got all 6 that I ordered (2 3-packs)

Fit great on my Gen2 and well enough on my Gen3 mags. Good quality and easy to put on with a snug snap on the mags. Well worth the money to relieve tension on the springs for storage.

These are great dust covers for your plays, especially if storing them.

When it comes to my firearms and ammunition storage, I'm a little bit of a fanatic when it comes to quality. I received these and they fit perfectly They are high quality, extraordinarily sturdy, and precisely meets my needs. Won't hesitate to buy these again when needed.

4 Stars only because there is no indication on the listing that these are GEN 2 Covers. It is clearly labeled on the package when you receive the item. I compared them to a GEN 3 I have and the difference is very minimal. But when you put them on a GEN 3 mag (they DO fit fine, a BIT snugger), there is a slight gap on the backside of the mag. If you bought these for feed lip protection, no big deal, if you bought them for dust protection, gonna be a little gap (about 3mm x5mm) compared to the proper GEN 3 covers. There is some disagreement as to whether these are necessary as Magpul no longer ships with them, but they are cheap and do take tension off the feed lips if you’re concerned about it. Snaps securely on your clip keeping a no clean. Also unloads the end of the clip to keep its shape when loaded in my AR. Good price being delivered 5o your door.

they snap very snug and may be difficult to snap on for some people , but they work and seem to be durable
