Viair 40040 400C Air Compressor Kit

Great compressor! Doesn't make as much pressure as the larger units but it puts out the most volume by far. Added this one to an older 400P that I converted to permanent mount and the dual set up works great to air up the 35s on my truck in no time. FIlls the 2.5 gal tank to 150 psi in just over a minute and a half.

So far the compressor has been working great! I'm using it with a two gallon tank and it fills it in about a minute.

I am using this compressor for my train horns set to 160 PSI off 120 on. It fills a 2 gallon tank in just under 3 minutes from 0 pressure. It works like it should but it draws about 30 amps. So, 10 gauge wire and in my truck, I have 2 batteries but in a car with one battery I would caution not using this until the engine is started. I'm very happy with this unit.

Works great during the warmer months but the check valve in the discharge hose freezes shut and wont build air until either you warm up the check valve or you completely drain the tank.

Still working , seems to be a decent compressor . like it . had it a year now.

pumps been running solid for 8 months I canceled this order cause I had an issue with system in my car and thought it was pumps but it was not it was my airlift shocks. but I do own two of these and they are good all around pumps and not to loud

I was worried about a tankless pump, but I don't have to wait for it to charge, unlike a a craftsman 5gallon compressor I in the garage. Turn it on and use it right away, lots of airflow. Mounted it underneath the truck under the frame, very little vibration and noise. I ended up using nylon hose to run air a hose connector mounted through the back bumper.

Nice compressor, fills tires fast. Make sure you use a 30A relay and fuse. it will cook anything less.

Not as fast as my Smitty Bilt air compressor but at least it wont burn my truck down.

I bought this after ordering a 300p kit and not being happy with the not common parts it was made and the massive storage bag. Wired this thing up with about 8 ft. Leads and nice heavy duty battery clamps, paired it with a 25ft 1/4 flexzilla and a always open air chuck, Pumps very fast not too loud does get warm but that is expected draws about 25-28 amps while pumping. My only thing I don’t like the the plastic air filter housing
