We needed to replace our aging vacuum cleaner but didn’t want to spend a lot. I was a bit worried by some bad reviews but, for the price, we thought it was worth the risk. Happy so say we are thrilled with it. So far so good. It is light weight, small but powerful, easy to maneuver. It has excellent suction, easily adjusted, and has cleaned the carpets and Lino with ease. Very easy to empty out. As with most bagless, the dust can be a bit clingy when dumping it, but a damp paper towel fixes that. The dust container was big enough to vacuum through our 2 bed home without needing emptying mid way. Excellent value for money and was £20 cheaper than same vacuum at ASDA! I think, with standard use, this should last a few years.

Ok, got to say I am really impressed by this compact vacuum cleaner. I bought it from the Amazon outlet at £40 and it comes with a second year warranty if you register with manufacturer. It's nice and compact and easy to carry. I was really surprised by the suction and the amount of dust and dirt it lifted when we redecorated. Great value for money. The power cord is quiet long too so handy for stairs. To empty you just unclip the bottom. Comes with some attachments too for narrow spaces. Id recommend this to anyone

Nice and light and compact hoover, very powerful motor good suction for a small hoover, done a good job hoovering my car. only problem was that i tried to retraction the plug lead back into the hoover it was a bit slow and left about 6inches of cable out it didn't all retract back into the hoover unless i pushed the rest of the cable into the hoover.

Such a good vacuum for the price. Decent power and very easy to clean. Small enough to store easily. The power cable isnt very long (5m maybe) but that doesnt bother me too much.

Absolutely smashing little hoover ! Bought it after mt dyson had stopped working and didnt expect the world from it giwvn the size and price but this little hoover is impressive! It's very efficient and made BOTH my carpets and hardwood flooring clean in minutes - even bringing up bits of shake and vac from a month ago that my Dyson didnt pick up . The attachments are decent as well although not properly tried rhem yet. Very easy to put together and the size is small but dont let that deter you ! Defo worth £39 and then some- id say better than Dyson

Great suction for a small hoover lightweight to move around

I am a little disappointed in this. I bought it to clean the stairs and bedrooms because my Shark, although it cleans very well, is very heavy and unwieldy. The Russell Hobbs is certainly small and light. It cleans carpets pretty well, and picks up bits. However, the lead and hose are on the short side and it barely reaches to the top of the stairs. The metal tube is also short: I am only 5' 4" and I have to bend forwards when using it fully extended. It would be uncomfortably short for someone much taller than me. The dust container is also small although, to be fair, that is clearly indicated in the product description. One of the wheels has an annoying squeak (which doesn't affect performance), and the whole thing has a cheap, plasticky look and feel. I think this is ok for vacuuming small areas, and suitable for less tall people, as well as people who would have difficulty in handling a heavier vacuum.
