Easy to use and clean!

Nice item. I still choose to use a paper filter within the mesh filter, to help trap fines from making it through. Easy to clean and easy to handle. 5 Stars.

I broke the last one after 3 years of use. It was totally my own fault, not something to do with the product so when it happened I got another one immediately. The Bodum is our family's daily driver in terms of coffee. We own french presses, an Aeropress, a mocha pot, and a billion other ways to make coffee, but frankly the pour over makes the right amount, the right quality, with the least amount of effort. A full pot is easily enough for two or three people to get their morning started, or one person to drink on the whole afternoon. The permanent filter it comes with is fine if you're used to french press style coffee. It won't leave as much sediment in your coffee as a french press does, but it will still allow the majority of the oils to seep in. We're a lil caffeine sensitive, so we choose to use a paper filter instead. This leaves no sediment and results in a clean cup of coffee that wakes us up without giving us heart palpitations. I personally prefer the Bodum over the french press for the simple fact that the coffee can sit in the carafe without continually steeping in the grounds. This makes it convenient for work afternoons where you'd like to be continually pouring rather then making the coffee. The glass carafe is easy to clean with warm soapy water, but I did notice it developed a patina over the years (I was shocked seeing the new one with perfectly clear glass). Coffee connoisseurs will tell you that's a good thing, but if it bugs you I will admit that the bottle neck in the carafe makes it hard to scrub with anything other then a water bottle brush. tl;dr if you need to make more then a cup of coffee quick, this is the method. If you're too broke/not snobby enough to own a chemex, this is for you.

Si estás buscando una cafetera de goteo, esta es la que quieres! Es sencilla, bonita, bastante grande y tan resistente, que llegó en una caja así nada más sin protección alguna y no se rompió! El filtro te sirve para café con molido desde espresso hasta prensa francesa, el entramado es bastante pequeño para que no se cuelen granitos furtivos y trae una pequeña tapita que se le pone después de retirar el filtro (ya para servir) que te ayuda servir el café hermosamente y trae una cucharita medidora de café también. El café se mantiene caliente por mas de lo que podrías pensar y la banda de plástico que te ayuda a no quemarte los dedos cumple su cometido bastante bien. El café sale muy rico también! Es un excelente producto!
