Sweeney Todd: Vocal Score

So I'm in the play and this has helped soooo much! I love it. It has the music in a clear SATB format and there is the piano accompaniment at the bottom. It's a little bulky but that's about it and the ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Also the full script is placed before or after the song preceding it or after it. Very helpful.

This score contains all the music (and dialogue) in the show. It's Sondheim so the music isn't necessarily 'easy', but that in no ways diminishes the quality of the score.Of course the way it's bound makes it difficult to play at the piano or stay open, but I usually just cut off the binding and put in a spiral and that worked fine!

I'll be playing Mrs. Lovett this summer, and I needed a score and libretto and this was absolutely perfect. Contains all dialogue as well as full piano/vocal score. There isn't much else to say that hasn't been said. If you're in music theater or opera, this is a perfect staple to have in your music library.

Love this show! This is a must for my library! This book was in perfect condition upon arrival!

The score comes at a great price. Only issue is that some of the dialogue is in conflict with the scripts you can rent from the publisher.

I have been a fan of Sweeney Todd for some time, but I have only recently made the commitment to buy the score. Firstly, this is the cheapest price I have found, and it is well worth it. As well as the entire score condensed to a piano/vocal score, the dialogue not sung is also included. It is the entire show in one huge volume. It's the perfect way to study Sondheim's melodies/harmonies or play and sing through the score yourself at home. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Kurz und knapp: Jeder Song, wirklich jeder Song, auch die, die erst Jahre nach der Uraufführung hinzukamen, sind vorhanden. Der gesprochene Text vor und in den Songs steht auch da.Und wenn man fertig mit dem Erlernen und Studieren des Meisterwerkes ist, kann man es gleich noch zum Muskelaufbau und Gewichte heben benutzen ;)Einziger Kritikpunkt: Das Buch scheint nicht ganz liebevoll von Amazon behandelt worden zu sein, denn die Seiten haben von außen schwarze Striche und das Cover und auch manche Seiten haben leichte Abdrücke von irgendwas und das Cover ist auch etwas geknickt gewesen.
