BC-10 Soldering Tip Cleaning Brass Wire (10 Pack)

Works great. Really does clean the soldering tips of my t12 iron really well. Lasts a few months before I need to change it and they are cheap so it’s easy to just stock up for the year and just replace them when they start getting to worn to clean well

I hate using "Brillo" or "SOS" steel-wool pads in the kitchen as they only last a few days before disintegrating or rusting. Each of these last for weeks, and they do a great job scrubbing! I've found similar pads in the supermarket, but they don't last nearly as long as these do. I haven't had any problems with them scratching stainless steel pots/pans. BTW, after scrubbing the stuck-on goop off, you still need to wash with a sponge as these pads don't hold soap. They also don't get caked up with the goop... so, overall that's a good thing! They're a bit smaller than a Brillo pad, and I do wish these were bigger.

Discovered the brass balls I'd stocked were NOT brass, as magnets stuck to them. So made of steel and would damage iron tips. This Thermaltronic pack is brass as advertised. Pictures do NOT reflect that these are more like thick discs, not balls. Using a domed tip cleaner housing (like Hakko), you will need 2 of these to mostly fill the volume. Nevertheless, I consider this a fine purchase and will reorder, unless I find 'BIG brass BALLS' pack next time.

Ten of these at this price point is very generous. I bought them to replace the one in my ancient Radio Shack branded brass tip sponge. Others who are hoping to replace the brass sponge of a Radio Shack tip cleaner, expect to combine 2-3 brass sponges to replace the stock Radio Shack one. For Hakko replacement? One is more than enough. No matter how you roll the dice, this is one of the best offerings on the market for solder freaks like me.

A single brass sponge and a container came with my soldering iron but I wanted some replacements as I do quite a bit of soldering when making suncatchers. These Thermaltronics B10 cleaning wire sponges work great as replacements, fit the container well, and keep the tip of the soldering iron clean and ready to use. I would buy these again.

Does what it was designed for. Sure were a lot in the package. Won’t need anymore, ever.

These pads are small. But that's because I think they are meant to be used with the Thermaltronics TMT-9000S-1 Soldering System. As you can see in the photos, they are really tiny, about half the size of a normal scrubbing pad. I had to put 2 pads in my soldering iron holder because the tip of the iron kept hitting the bottom of the holding can. They do the job, but they are smaller than most. Can't blame the product or the brand. It's just meant to be used with a specific model. Check the photos and judge yourself.

This is gonna make soldering easier,very durable and good weight worth the money

Eponge un peu petite pour mon support , mais il suffit d'en mettre 2 , puis de les retourner lorsque la 1ère à fait son temps . Donc je valide ! Nettoie très bien mon fer a souder , je recommande !
