Hourleey 3/4 Inch IPS Isolator Tankless Water Heater Service Valve Kit, with Pressure Relief Valve, Clean Brass

These devices are absolutely essential for tankless water heater applications. They greatly help facilitate the necessary servicing that "Should" be done to them. It also provides an integrated and reliable means to shutoff and isolate the "hot and cold" lines at the water heater, so that the water can continue to be used throughout the house without the worry of back-flushing the hot waterline, through a mixer valve commonly found within modern faucets, and flooding the house in the event that the heater has to be removed for servicing. This particular valve is made to a very high standard of quality, and will likely last for a very long time without fail. I would place it on the same level of quality (if not higher) as some of the more expensive household name brands available at the big box stores. The kit comes with a union, on each valve, that utilizes a flat rubber gasket for sealing. nothing about this appears to be proprietary or hard to obtain in the event that they might need to be replaced. I have installed many of these throughout the years, and will now always keep one of these on my shelf ready to be installed. I am very happy with this item.

Easy to install and I think it's a must for tankless outdoor units

Ordered then realized I’d need to add the safety valve which would require an addition T and addition fitting - but when the valves arrived this was all part of this valve set (not shown in the photos) pleasant surprise that saves you significant cost in the extra brass fittings. Installed directly to the Tankless HWH then to home plumbing using 18” braided SS flex lines to PEX - top collet rotates allowing easy valve alignment and a simple solid seal - valves bodies are cast/forged from single piece of brass, so no points to leak/fail - tested the clean out valves, and used them to bleed off/out the air in the lines during the heater install - was impressed with quality - this was my 9th tankless hot water heater install and this is the best valve set I’ve used / found.

Quality valves - good value for the money. The ONLY complaint I had is the advertising pictures. The hot (red) valve I received has the over-pressure port 180 degrees out from the main water cutoff. There was not enough clearance between the wall to install the overpressure valve while keeping the main valves aligned. By twisting the valve orientations, it worked - but it looks ugly. I wish I had paid closer attention to the porting alignment of this valve set. Other than this, the valve works great and is of good quality.

Great service valves for the price. Just as good as any other “big name” brands.

They seem to be very good quality, stainless steel valve balls, with nylon bushings and brass body. It also isn't clear from the pics or description, but there are UNION connections to connect the valves to the water heater, which make it much easier to replace the water heater if needed. I was leery because description & pics are incorrect or not complete. The description and pics don't show the T&P valve port, but it's there on the hot water valve, just as it should be. One pic in the description shows the T&P valve and hot water valve connected in a completely wrong and unsafe way. Follow the directions in the box or hire a plumber. I'm very happy & was pleasantly surprised by the unions and overall quality. I will be ordering again.
