Very handy tool
This should last years of use if looked after, spins a perfect rivet to a factory finish. Just take your time a little oil and keep pressure on as you turn. If you never used one a little practice first is well worth it.

If you break and make your own loops off of a spool, this tool is an excellent benchtop addition. Buy quality masters. Would buy again.

Great tool. I was able to fix 2x chains and make 3x new ones the day it arrived. It takes some fiddling to figure out how to hold the chain in position, but then it's fine. It helps to keep tension on both sides of the splice, so I place my foot on the bottom of the loop.

As expected from Oregon a quality piece of equipment. Easy to use and setup, just follow some Youtube videos for your basic instructions.

Complete engineering fail. Ergonomics are soo bad, that both my wrists hurt a lot after using it. first of all, its not possible to create a high quality connection with that tool. I was expecting nice clean rivets like one is used from other tools, but even with a lot of tries this is not possible. - you cannot fix the chain, its moving around soo much that its constantly misaligned and you would need a third hand to hold the chain - the crank that is actually pushing the rivet is soo short and strangly formed, that my wrist was hurting instantly as you need quite a lot of strength (like pushing 20kg at least) in a very un-ergonomic position - the other crank could have used a replaceable shank, it would be nice to connect a drill to it to let it slowly rotate on its own - the tool was delivered without any lubricants, one needs to remove everything and start lubricating all moving parts with quite a lot of oil. Also keeping the little spinning tip lubricated, is not easy, even special sticky oil is worn out after a few rotations. This should have a integrated lubrication in the tip
