YAMO Premium Stainless Steel Salt and Pepper Grinder Set of 2 - Adjustable Ceramic Sea Salt Grinder & Pepper Grinder - Tall Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers - Pepper Mill & Salt Mill

We previously purchased a set of these salt and pepper grinders and really enjoy using them. They are perfect sized to have adequate supply of salt or pepper to last quite a long time, yet are not large or bulky. They are easily adjustable to grind fine to coarse, and work very well. One of ours broke so we ordered another set, so now we have a spare. We recently dined a a local upscale restaurant and I noticed that they had these grinders at all the tables.

I've been looking for a good set of glass & stainless steel salt & pepper grinders for a LONG time! These are almost perfect! I love how finely they can grind, and they look great on our table. I love that they have lids, which prevents a lot of spills, but the only problem I have with them is that the lids are difficult to remove! If they fix that issue, I'd buy another set to replace these, but in the meantime, they're still the best I've used yet!!

Very nice set of grinders. Work perfectly. Adjustable grind size. I love the stand up design with the caps. No more salt piles in the cabinet. I bought one set then after extensive use, i bought another. Very satisfied with the product.

I ordered this set because it is designed to sit with the grinding mechanism at the top. My previous salt grinder was inverted so that the grinder was on the bottom and it always left a circle of salt on the table/counter when not being used. In addition, this set has covers on top that keep dirt and moisture from getting into the grinding mechanisms. The size is great because they hold enough salt/pepper that constant refilling is not necessary, yet they are not so large that they cannot be easily gripped (by adults at least.....probably would be a challenge for children). Design is simple, clean lines with no markings or emblems, and I like that. The one thing that could be improved would be to provide some instructions on how to adjust the grind coarseness. Maybe it is obvious to experienced "grinder users", but I've never had an adjustable grinder before, so am not sure what to change to adjust it. The only moving part I see is the threaded disc that is on the end of the grinding blades (see the picture of the pepper mill with cover removed so the black disk is visible) which can be loosened or tightened.....so I'm assuming that is the adjusting part. It would be nice to have a simple guide or picture pointing that out. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier! Delivery was quick (Amazon Prime 2 day), and they were well packaged.

I LOVE the salt grinder; the pepper grinder however shattered and resulted in peppercorns and glass all over my meal and kitchen floor.

Shakers look very nice and function well. Grind adjustment is not the best - larger or smaller pieces frequently slip through. Many times, some ground salt/pepper is left behind and falls out without even grinding. Great shakers for the money.

This replaced my old grinder set I have owed for 22 years. I liked my old wood set but this was much better. Adjustment was easy, but what I like most is the fact there is no mess left on my counter top because the grinder output is on top not the bottom. Output is much better than most that I've used. Yamo is also a better price than others offered on Amazon. Very happy.

I was looking for a durable pepper + salt grinder set that also looked good and were top-dispensing. From the reviews YAMO seemed a no-brainer, especially for a price that was half that of the comparable sets from other better known brands. // Overall I didn't like the product and I was surprised that I didn't like them given the 4.5-star reviews. But, upon closer inspection, I realized that several of *the top-ranked 5-star reviews were from reviewers that got the product for free*. Take a look at R. Simmons, for instance, who has provided 4 or 5 star reviews for her 250+ reviews, and nearly all of them were in exchange for free products!! This isn't a knock at R. Simmons but at the Amazon process that doesn't clearly weigh solicited reviews (getting a product for free is a form of payment -- ask any member of the US Congress) with objective, unsolicited reviews. // Noisy Grinders The grinders make a creaky, unpleasant sound even without salt or pepper in the chamber. I'm aware that the ceramic grinding surface does make noise, it's far more evident on the YAMO set than from the ones from OXO, Peugeot, and other brands. Since WD-40 is not a solution, I'd have to live with the racket. // Sharp Edges The stainless steel, while attractive, has sharp, unpolished edges which are noticeable along the ridges that interface with the acrylic chamber, the ridge that separates the short cylinder from the funnel grinder, and the surface between the lid and the funnel. Even the black plastic that is embedded in the stainless steel funnel has sharp edges. While these edges may not cut, they still feel unrefined. Given that the complete grinding action (holding the device > removing the lid > turning the device upside down > grinding motion > ...) involves touching these edges, it is still an issue to anticipate. // Adjustable Grinder that's trial and error The Adjustable grinder, while looking good on paper, is a hit or miss process. It's a dial that doesn't provide any guidance for the size of the grounds desired -- you'd instead have to keep rotating clockwise or anticlockwise to find the right size. // Other In my particular case the stainless steel section does not screw flush with the chamber -- on both grinders! If you're looking for an inexpensive grinder that will eventually reveal that its shortcomings, this product is for you. But if you're looking for something that will last, you should look elsewhere. I for one will be returning these grinders.
