Hows the volume on this? I usually only have to have volume setting halfway on other devices

The Volume is surprisingly loud ,I got nearly 1800 Flac on the internal and 32 GB card it took me a while to figure it out ,volume is very easy to set or change ,I did not expect the Flac to sound so good on a $37 player

If you have your music arranged in folders, can you select different folders for it to play?

Yes. You can also have sub-folders to help sort your music to make it easier to use. Mine is organised by artist with sub-folders for the albums and work fine. When you select a folder it just plays the music in the folder. When it is done with the folder it does go to the next folder.

Is it compatible w/Overdrive Media, the software used to download audiobooks from the public library?

Yes I can download books from the library using Overdrive. They are loaded in the file section. It looks like a file folder. I haven't figured out how to get the book name so I am just loading Audiobook 1, then Audiobook 2, etc. I am sure there is a way to do it I just haven't reached that level of expertise. It is easy to adjust the Volume using the instruction on their website.
