Easy to use
I bought this to rack my mead from primary to conditioning jars after fermentation. It works beautifully. Very easy to use and easy to clean.

Use for Nano Aquarium water changes
Good Product. Works well, as it’s supposed to. Can be used in small 1gal jugs but I use it for my 7gal nano fish tank when it needs water changes. Def recommend for home brewing or aquarists.

Great for small batches
This has made running small 1 gallon batches of wine/mead so much easier and neater. I have been using a similar setup for my 5 gallon batches but the ones made for that are too long and too wide. This is a much better option, and the tubing it comes with is good quality. And bonus for me the tubing is close enough in size to take a standard bottle racking tube, so I only need one of those for both setups. The only thing I would change (reason for the 1 star knocked off) is that it only just barely fits into some jugs. One thing to note some "standard" gallon jugs have thicker walled necks, so even if they take the same cap, the inner diameter can vary. This siphon works, but is slightly tight on a couple of my jugs.

Be careful when cleaning
I used the siphon once and it was all good, then I went to clean it and used the brush it came with. When I was cleaning it, some plastic piece came out and the siphon didn't work anymore, and I couldn't get the plastic piece to go back in place which honestly was probably my fault because I got frustrated after it wouldn't line up and click back into place after the first couple tries and threw it away to just use the hose the old fashioned way. But if you don't knock that piece out of place it works great.

Strong and simple
As far as siphons go, this might be the simplest and most effective options out there.

Worth it
A little unruly when cleaning in a standard sized sink basin, but really worth it for racking/bottling

Works Great for smaller brews
I have the larger version of this too, that works better for 3 gallon carboys and above. This is best for 1 -3 gallon wide mouth jugs and 1 gallon jugs with #6/6.5 opening. A few things to know if you've never used one before. 1. start the siphon in the middle gently to get it going, then move to the bottom. 2. Don't remove the cover on the bottom except to clean as this helps keep a lot of lees out of your brew. 3. Be careful when placing the tubing on the siphon as the tubing can be tight,( you don't want it coming off mid siphon ) apply a food grade lubricant if you can. When used from secondary this will help keep the lees to a minimum if any at all, also If you can, buy the bottling wand too as this will make bottling a breeze with less mess . I would recommend this as I use mine regularly.
