For the price, this is an amazing horn. It's loud, easy to connect to a power supply, and is really small. If you are interested in creating a do it yourself security system, I would recommend this horn. I've successfully hooked this horn up to a Z-wave and Homekit switch, such that the horn goes off if there is motion detected while I'm asleep, or if I'm away from home. For $10, it's a great starter horn. I've had this horn now for about 6 months, and I was waiting to see how well it performed before I wrote a review. It has worked so well, I just bought another one.

This is an excellent and inexpensive horn I use in conjunction with a motion light to create a motion activated alarm for preventing burglaries. It has eliminated my breakins andhas many uses. Great inexpensive way to protect your home or business. No burglar will stay as soon as they activate the lights and siren. Great product!

I set up a relay that was operated by the motion sensing light at my carport. It was a two light fixture and one light was used to operate the relay. When a car or person enters the area of the carport, the light comes on and the relay energizes a 12 volt LED light power strip which powers the horn instead of an extra light. By blocking the daylite sensor the horn alerts me when a car or person enters my drive, day or night.

If anyone is on the fence it's more than likely because they want to know what sounds like or how loud it is. You can talk decibels all day and make comparisons and it still wouldn't sound like imagined. So if this helps anyone save the time of ordering and sending back as I am, here's the best best description I can think of. It's simple to hook up to anything practically. Basic two wire, red to red, black to black. As for the sound. My built in alarm is louder. It's a bullhorn sound. My wife and I sitting less than 2 feet when I set it off and I asked her "is that loud to you" in a slightly elevated voice and she answered "not really." Maybe if you put it outside it would be ok but my neighbors haven't heard my inside alarm go off twice the two times my house has been broken into so I obviously need something that's gonna wake the dead. My wife suggested flashing lights as well. And I actually live in a nice neighborhood. Nowadays you have hit people with a sledgehammer to get them to pay attention, but they'll notice if a tree in my backyard needs to be trimmed.The product isn't misleading nor is it bad quality. Just not what I need. I hope this helps others with their decision.

I love the sound in it careys a long ways now when it goes off the motorcycles in Fullers arrived on her street all the time only slowdown I looked back I recommend this alarm horn to anyone has alarm systems and video surveillance when my video cameras pick up a passing person in front of my gate entering it sets off the horn alarm thank you very much sincerely William Tyler.

This thing sounds muffled. It isn’t even loud. It came in in great condition but once it was connected and the alarm was triggered. It just isn’t loud enough.

This is the noise maker to my teenager alarm clock. I coupled this with a DC power supply and a digital timer to create one BEAST of an alarm clock.
