Vive Wedge Post Op Shoe - Offloading Boot for Heel & Ankle Pain, Men Women

I have been unable to walk due to a very painful heel condition (feels like one big bruise). I tried crutches but they were a pain. A scooter is also a headache to maneuver. Then I found this wedge shoe. My life has changed as now I can walk with little pressure on my heel. The quality is outstanding & it is built to last. Some complain that the material it's made out of is too hard but that's what makes it so durable & enables me to walk anywhere (little pebbles rarely get stuck in the ridged sole) & gives the shoe its utility. I suggest wearing a sock with it so as not to soil the shoe also, after you set the toe velcro the way you want it, leave it alone & just adjust the strap (which I shortened using pinking shears) when you slip the shoe off & on. This has been a game changer for me & so glad that I finally discovered this (though finding it a few weeks earlier would have saved me a lot of hobbling around). I was concerned that the sole would be too thick & make one leg longer than the other but paired with a running shoe on the other foot, I see no difference. This is one good product! My foot is a size 7-7.5 & I got the small size (my toes come to the very edge of the shoe) a medium might have been the better size choice but I like the snug way this one feels. If you are enduring heel pain for one reason or another, this will give you fantastic relief as it puts the weight more on the ball of the foot.

I HAVE HAD PULLED MUSCLES IN MY HEEL AND ANKLE FOR 3 MONTHS NOW, FROM CLIMBING MY 6' LADDER OVER 300 TIMES IN A 10 DAY PERIOD TO REMODEL MY BEDROOM JUST BEFORE THANKSGIVING 2025. I JUST WENT TO THE PODIATRIST TO SEE WHY IT WOULDN'T HEAL, AND THEY TOLD ME TO DO STRETCHES AND USE ICE AND HEAT, BUT I WAS STILL DEALING WITH THIS INTENSE STABBING PAIN IN MY HEEL. I DECIDED TO TRY THIS FRONT LOADING VIVE WEDGE TO TAKE SOME OF THE WEIGHT OFF OF MY HEEL, AND IT'S WORKING GREAT. I'M FEELING BETTER, AND THE PAIN IT SLOWLY GOING AWAY. IT FITS REALLY WELL, AND IS LIGHT, SO THAT I DON'T FEEL LIKE I'M WEARING A LEAD SHOE. I HAVE ALSO GONE OUT AND WORKED IN MY GARDEN WEARING IT, SO IT'S VERY DURABLE.

I had this boot for less than 2 weeks before the seams started to split and tear apart and be unbearable. Durable medical equipment should be durable.

After purchasing Numerous foot products, to alevate my heel pain when walking, this wedge bootie helps considerably. For those of you who know how an injury to your heel is excruciatingly painful , not to mention constantly walking on the ball of your foot, this design helps with less pressure exerted on the ball of foot as well as the heel. Didn't like the bootie initially, but after a week I found that if I walk gently, starting with the heel first than rolling forward, it works for me, versus just walking on the ball of my foot.....heel, toe, heel toe motion. The design of this product is unique for heel pain. And it's wide enough if you need to add some foam padding for more relief. The Velcro straps cinch up the boot perfectly, and the company added an extra Velcro piece! I give it 4 stars because the material for the foot bed could be less ridgid; maybe a softer material. This is the second best product for heel pain without purchasing one of those scooters that you kneel on. Thank you Vive!

I was excited to try this shoe so I could offload the weight on my heel bone fracture and actually get to walk around. BUT, it's not as high in the front as it looks in the photos. And it's also not angled up much in the front, so no "rocker effect" which would make it easier to walk in this shoe. It also doesn't take as much weight off my foot as I thought, because when I walk in this, I still feel pain/pressure in the heel, even though I did get the correct size. I also feel like it could be a little snugger fit. If you have a big/wide foot and ankle, these would probably work for you.

My husband has a diabetic ulcer on his heal and has to do a no weight bearing. This shoe is perfect for him because he has to do toe touch. He walk around without putting pressure on the wound and so he can heal a little faster. The shoe is comfy for him and it has a velcro straps which keeps the foot secure in the shoe.

Horrible chemical smell upon opening ( like rubber cement super glue) Velcro strap across the top of the foot is thin and sharp. Heel of shoe is closed so it puts pressure on injured heel. Design may not have full body weight on heel but it is like walking in wooden clogs.

This Offloading Boot worked well allowing heel to heal.

Too small.Not the right size, even though I measured my foot against the size chart.
