Does this humidifier make a sound (like a beep) every time it's turned on? I want it to only turn on when humidity is too low by using a controller

Its a manual dial to turn on and control the amount of dog that comes out when on. It does not make any noise turning off and on. Quick tip. Since the vapor collects everywhere it will collect on a meter controller also, which gives improper readings. Mine always shows up as 99%.
