Worked just fine
I especially liked that the repair shop knew that the firm supplied good parts and installed it for me. It is rare these days that a shop will install owner's parts.

Defective on arrival, better to purchase used OEM and clean

Do not purchase this product unless you are absolutely desperate. It never worked - not even once. The idle performance was substantially worse than that when the 35 yr old OEM part was installed. It was even worse than with the vacuum hoses blocked off. Absolute garbage - not worth your time or effort.

Bad out of the box, failure on my 86 560 SEL
Installed on my 1986 560 SEL, Made the Idle rev high and low (500-1200 RPM) I purchased to solve slight idle miss. This didn't solve the problem, but made it worse. Cleaned out the original IAC with gun scrubber and brake cleaner. Solved the problem until it gets clogged with carbon again.
