Will this fit in a 5 gallon bucket? Stacking 2 in the bucket?

You can fit one mostly in on top of the bucket.  Works almost like a lid.  It won't go all the way down though so 2 is a no go.

Question 2

What is the diameter of the inside hole?

The hole inside diameter is 6", not including the black hand hold slidy thing.  I prefer this model over the larger reel which is kinda flimsy. The KW-110 is a lot more sturdy and the cable does not slide down into the sides making it more difficult to unreel as is the case with the larger version.  I hope this answers your question.

Question 3

I have a 100 ft. ethernet cord. Would this work well with that?  I can't visualize: will both ends stick out and you unroll as much cord as necessary?

Yes, it should hold 100 ft of ethernet cable. But, it seems you intend to leave much of the cable coiled around the spool while in use. Question: Does that coiling create interfering electric fields or effective capacitance. Most electric conductors act differently when coiled. I don't know that answer.

Question 4

I'd like to use wind up about 75 feet of cat 5 on this reel. Will it stay in place while I pay out wire as I run it to the opposite end of the house?

I think it would work well. I use mine to hold 100' of 14/3 drop cord. It works very well and much easier to roll/unroll than the old wrap one I had. You would just have to improvise a end to hold it in place from spinning w/o the reel or tie it off. I use the plug end or the drop cord for that, it kind of laces through. Another tip if you look to the right under the shopping choices they have used or seconds I got 2 at half price, only the packaging was torn. Good luck
