Works well for the occasional tangle in portable cross stitch projects.
Kind of slides off of my scissors which are the small singer folding kind, which have thinner blades that your usual small scissors. Still very useful though, I just hold the end with my hand when I need to take a closer look at my Cross stitch projects. It is nice and small so it fits in any of my project bags, and magnify's well. I do most of my cross stitching at church to keep my hands busy, this helps with the occasional tangle or misplaced stitch.
