Excellent debut album
An excellent debut album. A far cry from the latter version of UFOโs classic lineup. Excellent nonetheless! Moog has some pipes. Highly recommended!! Great quality too.

A good first Album
For diehard ufo fans, this is the begining of the band, and the start of a hard rock story that endures to this day. This album is a product of the times in which it was created, the echoes of the sixties were fading, and the violence and upheaval of the seventies were on the horizon, and ufo was there to create some sounds that were different than the peace and love era, and a preview of things to come. With the first incarnation of this band, they delivered some solid tunes, timothy is a great tribute to the orginal guru of the acid days, boogie for george is a solid rockin tune as well, all the songs are cool, and this is a must have album for the collector, and a good intro to the band before they became the icons of the area shows of the seventies during the michael era. Give it a listen, and turn on, tune in , and drop back to a time when the winds of change were a coming.

Overlooked, Underrated, not for mainstream posers
Get it and listen. Dont tell any of your friends about it. Just play it in the background and when people ask about it, be all pretentious and say, "UFO." Leave it at that. Its really good acid rock in a fairly quick punching, song based format. UFO 2 is similar but more jam-based, but pretty damn good as well. Dont be like your sissy friends and listen to Led Zep and argue over which member is more talented and has the most sex appeal. Listen to an album that was recorded for $500 at a car dealership.

"Must have" for the TRUE UFO fan
Being a big UFO fan, there is nothing to dislike about this album. It is the beginning of the band so may not be liked by the unfaithful.

If you like space rock, this is (arguably) where it all began. Even before British stoner-doom pioneers Hawkwind hit their musical stride in the mid-1970s, UFO's first album fired off of the launch pad and stumbled out into deep space. Unleashed upon the world waaaaaaaaay back in 1970, this is a landmark album that deserves to be heard-- and played-- by a lot more punters. If you like Cathedral, Orange Goblin, Slomosa, Fu Manchu, Hendrix, Electric Wizard, COC, Monster Magnet, Down, or any number of other stoner-doom bands, you'll (probably) like this record. Caffeinated crippled Lucifer on a mobility scooter, THIS is a cornerstone in the musical foundations of the space rock, sludge rock, and stoner-doom genres.
