Works differently than lithium or other downers
L-theanine is much more effective, imparting to the user the type of stoic outlook associated with really strong tea from which theanine is made. However, this mixture of valerian, chamomile and hops imparts a kind of "Alice In Wonderland" pleasant sense of amusement to the user and also giggly Disney-coloured dreams at bedtime and for which it was noted and prescribed during the Victorian Age by apothecaries. L-theanine is for when you are going to a final-destiny duel or for when you have to fire someone.

Works Great for Me for Deep Sleep
I purchased the two pack and gave one to my 92-year-old Dad. I have also begun using this. I've taken melatonin for years, but adding this Swanson valerian, chamomile, and hops made a huge difference. I alternate between one or two pills. This helps me get very sound and deep sleep. I'll be ordering again. It works great and is a great value!
