Spidey Eyes Toddler Bike Helmet

I recently bought the Bell Marvel Avengers Child and Toddler Bike Helmet for my toddler (age 3) and overall I’m very happy with it. From the start, the helmet impressed me with how safe and well-made it feels it meets recommended safety standards and gives good coverage around the head, which is exactly what you want when a small child is learning to ride. The comfort and fit are excellent: the adjustable dial-fit system and padding let me tighten the helmet so it sits snugly yet comfortably. Once adjusted, the helmet stays put even if my child moves around or shakes their head. That’s crucial a helmet that shifts or slides won’t protect well in a fall. I also appreciate that the helmet is lightweight and ventilated, so it doesn’t feel heavy on my child’s head, and airflow helps prevent it from getting too hot or sweaty during play or rides. Finally and maybe most importantly my toddler actually likes wearing it. The design feels right and after a few rides she doesn’t fuss when I put the helmet on. Having a helmet she tolerates (or even likes) makes a big difference for safety, because consistency matters more than just one perfect ride.

I bought this for my nephew to go with his new Spider-Man bike! The look is adorable. It feels super high-quality and safe should he go flying off of his bike lol! I was worried that the spikes would add too much weight and it would be hard for him to wear, but he says it was comfortable and easy to put on.

My son loves this helmet. It’s easy to adjust and you can tell it’s sturdy enough to function exactly as it should and keep his head safe. Great price too. It’s sharp. The lines are clean and defined. The inside is cushy but tough. It looks so cool. He’s very happy with it.

This is a great looking helmet as the other reviewers have stated. The straps are easy to adjust which is important for getting a good fit. There is nothing worse than trying to adjust a helmet on a squirmy preschooler when the straps aren't easy to adjust. The problem is with the description. The tag clearly says for ages 5-8. The inside of the helmet says " for ages 5 & up". The description on Amazon says it fits 50 - 54 cm, I measured my 3.5 year-old son's head at 51 cm and because many reviewers stated that it fit their 3 or 4 year-old I assumed it would fit. A helmet isn't safe if it isn't snug. If " it has room to grow" as another reviewer stated, it probably doesn't fit. I also just checked to see what percentile my son is within for his head circumference and he measures in at the 78 percentile. I would not recommend purchasing this for your child if he or she is under the age of five if you want something that is actually safe. Ihave five stars because if it fit, it is just perfect. I am terribly disappointed that my little Spiderman can't wear it.

Pros: Cute. Kids loves it. Cons: This helmet did not come with an adjustment dial at the back. There's a small piece of elastic that offers some stretch. The inside foam pieces are not attached with velcro and have to be torn out to make more space. My son has thick hair, his head measurements are at the top of the size range for the helmet so I expected a snug fit. I'll have to make some DIY adjustments.

If I could give 100 stars I would give it. This helmet I would highly recommend. I got this helmet for my son for Christmas last year. This year we took his training wheels off and he gained a lot of confidence. He had a terrible bike accident a week ago and this helmet completely saved my son from having a very serious traumatic head injury. He went down a hill in our backyard and lost balance and hit his face and mouth on the handle bars, went over the handle bars, landed on top of his head, and then flipped and landed on his face. We ended up in the ER due to trauma to his mouth. He was monitored for concussion symptoms and had no signs thankfully. When we got home from the ER and I had a chance to really evaluate his bike and helmet my heart really sank from the damage to his helmet. The speed he had when going down the hill, the force he hit and how hard the ground was, and the impact this helmet took, truly showed me the severity of what had happened. So thank you for not only making a product that was effective and protected my baby, but thank you for making a product that was durable, light, easy to put on and adjust to his liking, and thick enough to protect my sons head. I will be buying his next helmet from you. Here is a of the helmet after the accident. I’m truly so grateful.
