I have a 7 story apt building, i want to connect security dvr in basement to internet in apt 7 floors up, will it find and connect?

I can't answer your question. I use this device to be the internet connection on my SharkRF Open Spot, in the absence of a direct internet connection

Yes, it is good for iPad Air, you can connect USB power adpater to get power. Then configure it to your wifi router signal, then iPad Air connect to this to get wifi.

Never completes the final “reboot” (ipad hotspot). it does not connect to this input after repeat power-up. why?

Why are there 2 power terminals, and do they each have the same parameters?

1 is ethernet port, for connecting to PC. 2 is USB power provision 3 is same as 2. It has a small plug hole that can accept 5v DC power chargers, and is pretty redundant. Especially since the USB port is plugged in an exactly the same cord. The one on the USB cable side is female, the other on the device side is male.
