does the job.
I'm used to brush cutters so found it easy to assemble and adjust balance and harness, although the latter may need some tweaking. Good starter and does the job. Seems quite good on fuel, I'm 81, 82 soon and found it quite easy to work with.

Really pleased with this, cheaper than renting
I was hesitant before buying this, wondering if it could really be any good at this price. I'm amazed that it is in fact a better piece of kit than the strimmer I rented a few weeks before buying this (and a weeks rental cost £100!). I've used this to clear several hundred sqm of nettles and brambles using a blade, and it hasn't struggled at all. It is a little heavy and the vibration does get to you with prolonged use, but overall I'm really pleased. Worth buying a funnel for refuelling though, as the supplied bottle makes a huge mess otherwise. <Update after almost a year> Still very happy. Longer sessions of very heavy duty use (brambles over an inch using a blade) and it does occasionally cut out - I suspect there is dirt in the fuel lines. It has occasionally popped out of the harness. But I have saved myself hundreds in hiring equipment.

Works well. Easy to start.
Easy to assemble. The harness takes a bit of adjusting to get a good fit. I was particularly interested in how easy it would be to start as my old brush-cutter could be a nightmare at times. I shouldn't have worried - started 2nd or 3rd pull of the cord. The three-bladed cutter is pretty ineffective - I'll be going back to a saw-toothed blade.

Unfortunately not upto the job.
3 year warranty, great! Surely It'd last a long while. Unfortunately the first one was dead on arrival. It wouldn't run. All the basic stuff was checked as my customer frowned through the window at me. Gave up on it, used another tool (Oleo Mac 400t). Sent the item back for a refund, and was offered a replacement. I presumed it was a one off, so I went for the replacement, three year warranty, surely this will last. First use, started up fine, ran okay, throttle trigger a bit hard on the fingers compared to an Oleo or Stihl 131, but that's okay, this is much cheaper than both. Bramble attempted, seemed to be getting through it okay with a 2 blade oregon red mulcher blade, completed day 1 with only minor complaints. Day 2 however wasn't completed. I only took one tool with me, this one, as I thought it'd cope. A garage block had become over-run with bramble, less than 1cm thick, still quite spongey, still quite young. Worked the hyundai gently through it being careful not to use full throttle and also not overwhelming the blade. I had a stihl hedgecutter to pop "lanes" through to make access easier and clear out some flytipping. Unfortunately within 2 hours of getting there the brushcutter started making a high pitched whirring noise from the gearhead. I visually inspected it to make sure it hadn't become loose or drifted down the driveshaft, it appeared fine. I then went even easier on the tool and focussed mainly on the hedgetrimmer but unfortunately this wasn't enough for the Hyundai which lost all drive very quickly making it worthless. I honestly don't understand how they can put a three year warranty on such a tool. Unless I just became very unlucky twice in a row. My Oleo Mac 400s have been put through gruelling work since I bought them in October, £220 a piece. I've even cut an airfield of fairly established buddleia with them, great tools. My advice is spend more, and if you want split shafts I've heard good things of Stiga.

Great Strimmer
It’s a big machine but easy to assemble and once you have sorted out the balance with the harness it’s comfortable to operate and tackles long grass with ease . I think the mixing bottle could be improved with perhaps a nozzle, mine leaked from the cap when agitating the mixture .

Great bit of kit!
I bought this to clear moss and weeds from a neglected lock block driveway. Added a 20cm (8”) wire brush head to do the job. Cleared the weeds and growth from the sides of the drive in less than an hour the first day. Cleared the moss and weeds from the lock block over the next couple of days. It’s a long wide driveway, but this made quick work of it. Advice: read the instructions for fuel (super unleaded), for two-stroke oil (semi-synthetic), use the mix bottle to get the 40:1 ratio right. Six or seven squeezes of the fuel priming bulb, set the choke, it’ll start first pull. Let the motor run without any load for about 15 seconds before switching it off. Drain any remaining fuel/oil mix. Repeat from start next time you need to use it. Ear , eye and hand protection are essential. Shorts not recommended when the moss, weeds and loose soil are flying :)

Great so far. Great value
I like it! I needed a strimmer and a brush cutter so I wasn't looking for a cheap 'professional' grass strimmer, needed something with the bull horn handle and the capacity to attach a metal blade. And, as this was so cheap I figured I'd give it a go. It seems great! Starts well and has power. Cuts stuff well and the bump head works well. I ran a gardening business for years so I'm used to using more expensive brush cutters, This replaced my £750 Tanaka brush cutter which finally died after 17years, and my cheap Stihl grass strimmer. And I am very happy with it for domestic use on grass edging and some scrub clearance (bracken and brambles). Only negative is it I am still struggling to work out how to set the handles up comfortably for my shape and so it still cuts level with the ground. I think the bull bar isn't as wide as I need so my wrist is at a silly angle and aches after 45mins or so. Let's hope it has a long and useful working life with me!
