Love these knives! And they come with their own saya's. If you have to mess around with a lot of small vegetables, and do detail work this is a great buy to add to your arsenal in a professional setting, or even at home if you just want to mess around.

I have been eyeballing DALSTRONG knives for awhile but have been nervous about making the change since there are some reviews online stating its all marketing hype. Saw this set and decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. First, these knives are beautiful and come well packaged in a beautiful box. The pairing knife was very sharp, well balanced and and I personally love that it is a little heavier than my old pairing knife. The Birds Beak knife was interesting for me since I never used one, Gave a shot on some jalapenos I was chopping up to go into my meal. Came in handy taking out the veins and seeds and again was very comfortable, very sharp, and the weight for me was perfect. The serrated knife I dont know if I will ever have a use for but who knows! If I never use it I can still display it with my other knives. I will be purchasing more DALSTRONG knives in the very near future as I put together my new collection. This will be my new go to brand as long as I keep receiving quality knives at an affordable price.

Love these knives. Great for everything

We love these knives. We are big fans of Japanese steel, so the pricing is quite reasonable. We now own 4 knives from the Dahlstrong Shogun series, and love them all. They are great quality blades, they get very sharp and hold their edge. The handles are comfortable and allow a secure grip. I have smaller hands, and these paring knives are a great fit for me. I particularly love the curved one!! I can peel veggies, like potatoes, faster and with less waste than ever. We will continue to buy the shogun series.

Beautiful, sharp, holds edge well, full tang. Unsure if its style, quality or just taste that determines, but I bought my husband who is a chef, one for his birthday one year, and since then he has asked for a different kind of the same company, we are building to a full set.

Man, these knives are great. I have bought many knives from DALSTRONG the Shogun Series, and everyone I have gotten has been expertly crafted. I know when you look at all their merchandise, it seems high priced. There is a reason for that, and that is craftsmanship. I don't understand why some people are winning about the fancy box it comes in. The presentation goes far. Some people would complain if everything was gold.

I love those knives, they are well balanced and wicked sharp.

Pros: Beautifully made, beautifully packaged, razor sharp, comes with loose sheath with locking pin to prevent it falling off. I am a mechanical engineer so the Rockwell hardness specification of 62 was the most important feature of these knives. This is way higher than any of the stainless steels, even the expensive ones that are on the market. They should hold their edges much longer as a consequence. Cons: The retaining pin is held on the sheath using a piece of pretty string. With constant use I am not sure how long this would hold up, but it’s easy to put your own string on. Conclusion: I am absolutely delighted with these knives and it seems like a crime to take them out of their beautiful presentation box to use them.

good quality and very sharp - The serrated and bird beak blades are the most used. wash and dry straight after use to keep them in tip top condition. recommended
