Always works
Some adapters don't work in all situations. There have been many changes to electrical and data transmission standards over the last 10 years, and you may find that your old adapters (or cables) can cause a bottle-neck, or they may not even be recognized by your equipment. I bought these to use with a number of different electronics projects, and they always work! Th construction is also solid. I expect to be able to use these with my upgraded usb cables for years to come.

It works but the connection can be lost at some angles
I use this to connect to my Logi wireless mouse and keyboard through a USB hub. The mouse and the keyboard stopped working and I figured that the placement of the hub changed, which caused the connection lost. I would still use it and just avoid moving the hub.
