Spinal surgery
I bought this for my husband for recovering following spinal surgery. While unable to move in hospital and restricted to flat bed rest, this became an essential part of his recovery. Thank you for such a wonderful invention.

Excellent bottle - ideal for hospital stays
During my stay in hospital to give birth, this was a great bottle to have. It could attach to the hospital bed, and I could keep the mouth piece close by, so I could easily access my water. Was also helpful to keep close by on the sofa when back at home, especially during breastfeeding sessions where you become very thirsty! Like that there are two options: a long straw, and a regular lid. Good value for money, and lasted really well. Highly recommend!

Perfect for being bedridden
I've been bedridden with illness for the last six months and have struggled to even lift a bottle/glass of water. This bottle has been a lifesaver for me and has allowed me to drink water without sitting up or lifting anything. I find it works best when it is anchor to something, like a headboard or over the front of a nightstand draw, as it has a tendency to fall over when it's near empty and splashes water everywhere. Not a complaint, just a tip for those who intend to buy. Love it!

Disabled ease of use bite valve
Have used hydrant since they first came out. Clip 4 clothes isn't strong enough. Otherwise easy to use. Bite valve easy 2 use and strong 4 wear and tear. Bottles sturdy. Lids r tricky 2 fit and could do with more screw on threads I've had a few pop off if not careful I find the lids hard to screw on properly. Easy to clean with right brushes although bite valve is tricky 2 clean due to shape. Carers/users need 2 b aware as easy to get dirty and mouldy if don't pay attention? Great concept upset price has gone up so much so not as good value anymore. I've been quite critical as a disabled product and have found these issues a continuous issue with others like carers nurses cleaning them and assembling. Hygeine awareness is a priority 4 disabled!

Expensive but worth it
Bought for hospital operation following a recommendation for pre-assessment team. Patient was in 2-day bedrest with very limited mobility. Patients would only be given small cups of water at a time, but with this the nurses would fill a whole litre at a time. This ensured hydration as there was always a plentiful supply and also as the patient had autonomy to drink for themselves. A few notes, the water bottle must be above the patients head. The mouthpiece must be bitten along the longer side (i.e. so the longer side is horizontal) otherwise it does not open properly. There is a velcro strap, this helps to act as an additional loop for tying to a hospital bed preventing it slipping. There is a small pinch clip around the tube that can be clipped to a patient gown to keep it in close reach. (But mention to the nurse refilling so they don't accidentally drag the gown too). Overall the bottle is durable, although slightly more flimsy than expected. But this is definitely worth the money if going into hospital, being on bedrest and wanting autonomy.

Requires strong sucking ability
Useless! Spilt waster everywhere.

It can take a lot of work to use
A great idea in concept but not in practice if the person is too weak to suck for forever because it actually takes a lot of work to get the drink to the end of the tube near your mouth.

Highly recommend - but some minor issues.
I’ve had this bottle once before, due to my health conditions sometimes it’s not possible to lift a drink. This bottle is an excellent solution to maintain hydration. Clips into position which is handy. The bottle can clip onto the side of wheelchair etc which is handy. 1L capacity is plenty so that’s good. For these reasons I would highly recomend this bottle. Only minor issues are, that The mouth piece at the end of the straw requires a little mouth pressure to release the water into your mouth - Sometimes this can be a bit of an issue but generally manageable. Also, it can take some slurping initially to bring the water up the straw, but it stays there once you’ve done that due to the straw cap. There is also a tiny hole in the lid, so if the bottle tips over it does spill a little bit.
