Exceptional Value - Works Well (Better Than I Would Have Thought)
I'm used to using my Mitutoyo 505-626 analog caliper. I figured "It's not the seventies any more, analog calipers went the way of bell bottoms" & decided to "upgrade" to digital. I read a bunch of reviews and watched a bunch of demo videos. I didn't want to spend a fortune, I already have a caliper, and new Mitutoyos are like $200 for a digital one. Analog Mitutoyos are $80! So, I bit the electron & bought a digital iGaging IP54. By the looks of it, I suspect other companies make this same caliper. The good: cheap; digital display makes it easy to read (although it FEELS weird, like going from an analog speedometer to a digital one, your brain has to interpret the numbers, it can't just "feel" the measurement); looks cool; comes with a snazzy, well-padded, although all-plastic, case; pretty accurate (see below); new. The bad: not as smooth as the Mitutoyo (I never considered the Mitutoyo "smooth," but it's WAY smoother than the iGaging); the box that houses the electronics is too large (it isn't svelte like the analog, its boxy in a big-boxy way); quality of materials and craftsmanship, including case, is a notch lower. Why it comes with a spare battery I don't know. I hope it doesn't eat batteries like I do Gummy-bears or we're in for a short honeymoon. I measured a stock piece of cylindrical material used to test and calibrate measuring tools. I guess it's 1/8". Both the analog Mitutoyo and the digital iGaging measured identically: .1265. Now, I KNOW 1/8"=.125, but maybe that is operator error, or maybe the temperature of the materials, but at least both machines were the same. I also tried measuring using different parts of the iGaging calipers' jaws and the reading was identical the entire length. I'm not sure how much more you could ask for, other than the buttery smoothness of the Mitutoyo, but for what it costs, I don't think this tool can be beat.

These calipers are very good and accurate!
These calipers are very good and accurate, especially for the price. Easy to use and read, and they’ve been reliable so far. Great value, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Nice calipers, work great - beware the batteries & check for leaky ones!
As calipers? Great! No issues at all. Reads correctly as accurately as I can determine. The case holds them securely so they don't rattle around, and is sturdy enough. HOWEVER when I received it the LR44 battery that was installed was dead-dead-deadski. The 'spare battery' was also not just dead as well, it had corroded & leaked as well. Luckily it was inside it's paper/plastic packaging so it was a matter of disposing of both it & the installed one then installing a new battery, and the calipers work great. But it was only sheer luck that the battery in the calipers themselves hadn't failed & leaked everywhere. Because the packaging for the spare battery was marked as *2006*, which as of now is *12 years* ago - there's no reason not to think that the installed battery was any different vintage. So if you get these, check - better yet just go ahead & replace all the batteries, just to be safe.

Good caliper accurate sturdy good value
What I like the most the construction the accuracy the ease of use the quality everything. It is made of sturdy stainless it has great you know all the the normal tuning features that you get on a caliper. it has a chart on the back with meter other conversions it is just really nice. It comes with an extra battery the numbers are really clear and easy to read the battery door is easily found and removed almost to easily it seems like that it also would be really easy to lose if it came off but of course it comes with a plastic case so hopefully you'll take advantage of that the screen does not seem like it would be able to take hits in a toolbox. It has a normal zero button has millimeters inches and then inch fractions it even has a removable slide stop so if that wears I guess maybe you can replace it. I removed it and slid it off just to see it has asmall strip of copper that goes in between the device and the slide inside that popped out but I got it back in there it's working fine. Sturdy case latch stays closed and it looks like it has a place to put a pen or something else and it even has a little divot where you can slide the extra battery. Like I said the only bad thing I can really find is that battery door I mentioned it's not like it's falling off by any means you definitely have to apply pressure but it doesn't really make like a satisfying click sound and I would like it if you had to apply a little more pressure.

Outstanding Value, Reliable and Sturdy
First off, I am no an engineer of any stripe. I am a hobbyist, a "maker", and so my needs and expectations for a tool like this aren't as demanding as someone who makes their living with it. Just so we're all on the same page. That being said, I purchased the 8" metal Neiko calipers in May of '22 and cannot overstate how pleased I have been with them. They are plenty accurate enough for me (we're talking resin and fdm printing tolerances, not precision machining), consistent, and sturdy. The stainless cleans up easily if I get grease or resin on them. i have only used the conversion features a few times, but it's nice to have. They stay in MM 99.9% of the time. Some folks have apparently had battery issues, but I have had to replace the battery in these once, I believe, in three years. So I don't know what to tell you about that. I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I was just wiping these calipers down and thought that they have served me so well they deserved one. If you need something for household use, automotive stuff, maker stuff, crafts, etc., don't hesitate. These may cost a little more than the really cheap ones, but you'll never regret it.

Nice unit but....
Poor construction quality control, in the image can be seen, one of the screws that holds the tail piece was forced, the head is damaged, at the back you can appreciate the piece is not centered, by some weird reason the hole is not perpendicular

These and other similar items have a very high price in Australia compared to the US Market, these are considered in the lower end in most Youtube reviews but are very impressive and for our price structure are better value than others. Smooth operation of jaws, nice clear display and well packed. Good to see battery was inhibited by shipping strip avoiding a flat battery on delivery. Looks and feels quality and professionally built and supplied

This is a trap. I have it for around 15 months. I very rarely use it. However, now it doesn't work !! It gives totally random fluctuating readings. I want a refund !!
