Wow! What a Fuzz!
Wow! What a fuzz! The pedal is reaply two fuzzes in one. The base fuzz is mid forward and heavy. Not quite big muff heavy, but more snarly than a fuzz face style fuzz. Then you switch to the octave fuzz and everything gets all wild a wooly. Fuzz is a matter of personal taste and this effect is just right for me. The sounds are versatile and it delivers the crunchy psyched out sound I was looking for. The unit itself seems solidy built. The knobs are quite firm so you don't accidentally change settings when your cable brushes against it. The knobs also affect the sound over their whole sweep. I've only been playing it a week, but it has been functioning quietly and well on a 9v daisy chained power supply. I love this fuzz. It beat out fuzzes three or more times the price for a place on my board. For the price, definitely pick one up and see if it's for you.

Lots of different tones in one pedal, good value
I don’t have much experience with fuzz or octave pedals but I am greatly enjoying this pedal, especially for the low price. You can get quite a lot of different sounds out of this one pedal. I found some nice Black Sabbathesque tones. The tone knob can get you from dark, muddy fuzz up to bright and biting fuzz tones. The mid-scoop switch adds even more possibilities. The octave up is a cool bonus feature, but it could stand alone as a nice fuzz pedal even without it. Like all Joyo pedals, it seems to be pretty durable construction and good quality. I put it at the very front of my effects chain.

I wouldn't
Was not impressed. Returned. It was too raw sounding. Didn't have a good hum

Truly a beast of the wild!
Sweet, fat, singing sustain for days that blossoms into gorgeous feedback with only the slightest coaxing. I plugged in a custom tele with Texas Specials and an Epiphone Swingster through a ‘68 Deluxe Reverb Custom reissue and a vintage Carvin 1X12 Tube Combo. I had the best results and the most tone-shaping ability with the amp set on a good, loud clean tone. By cranking the fuzz to about 3 o’clock, I was then able to dial in the best tone for each guitar using the tone knob. The fuzz is fantastic on neck or bridge pickups, single coil or humbucker, as well. Both guitars yielded a beautiful Clapton-esque “woman tone” in the neck position with the guitar tone all the way off. The octave feature is rambunctious and searing. It works well with either pickup, but best results came from the neck pickup. Also, the Mid Cut is a nice surprise. Not a feature I would have been drawn to, but, nonetheless, when engaged, it provided some nice sculpting to fit the effected guitar in the mix and helped provide even more unique tones. Tremendous value and super useful. Plus the goat skull. Get one.

Best played through a parametric eq
I’m blown away by this fuzz pedal. There’s nothing cheap about it. It sounds amazing. There’s no need to mod it if you want a thicker sound - instead, I recommend using a parametric eq. I’m using it with the Boss GE-7 eq and the Ibanez Pentatone parametric eq, which far out-classes any mod I’ve heard online, and does it non-invasively.

Bad voodoo
Bought two of these Voodoo fuzz pedals and the octave didn’t work on either one. Seems they’ve been putting them together wrong for FIFTEEN years. Got the Tiny-Huge instead. It’s pink, but it works fine.

FUN!
I've always wanted a fuzz pedal and I bought this one after seeing Josh on JHS Pedals mention it was a good fuzz pedal for the value. Boy was he spot on! This thing is terrific even without the octave button but omg when you hit that octave button you can make some awesome tones. The mid-cut switch is okay if you like that sort of tone or have use for it but it's not a useful feature for me. Y.M.M.V. I have it wired after a metal distortion pedal and they sound killer together or even when I just run it after my overdrive pedal which has what my brother calls a "dog's snarl" tone to it. And I'm playing through PAF humbuckers. I give this pedal 5 out of 5 stars.

Value for money in a green box!
Tested out of the packaging with a 2004 Fender Stratocaster 50th Anniversary American Series and a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard into a 2000s Fender Blues Junior. Battery compartment easily accessible or works off PSU-both not included though. Plenty of fuzz on tap from even minimal settings. Mid cut {scoop} switch is a very useable variation. Octave Up is a bit random-seems depend on how fuzz and tone are set-sometimes it sounds like octave up, sometimes down, but either way it's a useful additional voicing. Sounds a bit more articulate with the Strat than the Les Paul, as you would expect. Overall, definitely worth a go based on first impressions, though it is far too soon to give an opinion on reliability yet-construction seems pretty solid though.

Fuzz pedal
The two fuzz modes sound great. They are usable for a number of rock genres. The octave adds an extra dimension for solos. Similar to a fuzz/octave used by Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age.
