I have a wheel chair ramp for my house with a non-slip rubber mat. I needed an additional 6 feet to cover a slippery portion of the landing. This matched perfectly with what was already there. It is smelly, but using it outdoors is not an issue for me.

Great product

Some folks complain about a smell which as I've learned over a lifetime usually dissipates as the rubber airs out over time. The process of making Rubber causes the smell which personally I would have thought people would understand before ordering this product! Rubber takes a super long time to deteriorate so it will survive in many situations where as synthetic or fake rubber mats will quickly harden and break apart. I'll deal with any smell the rubber has because I know it will dissipate and I wanted a Matting that holds up to the elements and weather.. If a small really bothers someone use DAWN dish soap to wash both sides before use. This may or may not fix the trivial issue of smalls, IMPO.

I bought one of these mats last year for my horse muck ramp and it worked fine until it broke apart. I bought the same mat this week and cannot use it because it’s slippery like it has a coating on it. I tried adding sand to it to help from slipping but it’s still slippery with every type of shoe. Do not buy if you need a mat to prevent from slipping.

Works grate, heavy and sturdy

I have no idea why auto manufacturers continue to unholster car interiors with carpeting. It's a dirt magnet. I bought this to use to line the floor of my van. It's thin enough that it lies flat easily and can be cut to shape. The grooves capture dirt, sand, whatever and keep it from finding its way into the corner and nooks of the interior. I cut it in such a way that it lies over the trim at the door edge so that dirt won't collect under the trim edges. Now I can easily sweep debris out of the van. The only downside is the smell which I expect will disappear over time. For now, it's worth the inconvenience.
