Somebody figured out how to do this the right way!
I had one of these about 10 years ago from a different brand and the press exactly matched the forms. These don't and it's wonderful! Freezing the forms, and then releasing the Patty is phenomenal! Instead of fighting the bottom and the sidewalls you're just popping it off the bottom of the form. I wish I could just buy more forms! I'd love to have 40 more forms just to do an entire 10 lb chub in one go!

Love the practicality
Love the ease of this set. I love that they can be stacked in freezer. We thaw the hamburger in them in fridge so no mess. They are a space saver in cupboard. All is perfect with this product.

Better than hand formed burgers
Need to be careful making an even thickness

Fast and Easy Press with Great Freezer Storage Option!
Simple and effective press! Non-stick, easy cleanup. The included containers with snap lids are a perfect way to form the patty and have a way to stack them in an airtight container in the freezer. Really great idea! No separate double wrapping to do. I really like the product and it's at a very attractive price as well!

Great Product at a reasonable price
A good price product that does exactly what I need it to do. Well made, and I love the fact that I could order it in the configuration I wanted. No more buying overpriced premade frozen burgers.

First Impressions of the Mission Gallery Hamburger Press Patty Maker
I ordered the 10 count package. I usually make 6oz burgers and vacuum seal them using my vacuum sealer machine. I pick up a 2.25lb (36oz) package of ground beef at a time. Out of that I can get four 6oz burgers and two 5oz burgers. After the seal process, I write the date right on the plastic bag for obvious reasons. The sealing takes a lot of time because I make the burgers and slip them into the bags. If I'm putting them in bags from a roll, I make the bags before I touch the ground beef. Sealing them takes about a minute and a half each because the machine has to cool down after each seal. In the freeze, they don't stack very nicely at all and it's a little difficult to keep them organized. I was hoping this would solve all of this issues. I just did my last batch of burgers again, from a 36oz pack. Doing it the way the instructions show here, making a 6oz burger will not fit in the container. If I ditch the press and spread the meat out with my thumbs, it's better but the meet still won't fit so I tried 5oz burgers with the press and those wouldn't fit ether but pressing the meat down with my thumbs I was able to get the cover on them. So I ditched the press and the mold altogether and just cut off 5oz from the meat and pressed them in the container with my fingers after dropping in the wax paper disk in each one. It's what works for me. I was able to get seven 5oz burgers, the last one being 5.1oz (I have to talk to the store for cutting me out of .9oz). After I was done with the seven, I washed up and wrote the date on seven removable freezer labels and stuck one on each container and popped them in the freeze. They stack very nicely in the freezer. I'm glad I bought the 10 pack because I can see these might break. I have food storage containers made out of a similar plastic and dropped them on the floor after taking them out of the freezer and they just shattered, so be careful. I gave this three stars because of this and that no where in the description does it say how much ground beef you can use to make burgers. That would have been a good piece of information. Plus, using the press and mold, there is a fairly decent amount of space between the burger and the container, meaning you have to make these burgers really small. I haven't tried it but I'd think 4oz burgers is probably your limit but could be less. Three stars also because the lids were hard to remove, as others stated, probably due to little flex in the covers. All in all, I like the idea of these containers. I was able to get the burgers made and in the freezer a lot faster than using my vacuum sealer. For the most part, they were easy to use but lacked the ability to made a man-sized burger using the method as written. If these were 1/2" wider, and a little deeper, I think they would be almost perfect. They're just too thin for an adult-sized burger in my opinion.

Good product
Works great. It's throwback to the old Tupperware product which I used years ago.

Could have been a real winner, but it is just sort of okay, all things considered.
First, the good. It works pretty good. Clever idea, the patty containers. Patty papers are perfect size for the bottom. Now, the not so good but not super bad. The papers are slightly too big for the top. Finally, the bad as in "yeah, that's pretty bad". The containers are not tall enough. The most I could cram in there and close the lid was 5 ounces. I like at least a half pound burger. The lids are really hard to pry off of the containers, too. It works as advertised, but did not meet my particular needs. I wanted a suitable size for crab cakes. A tiny bit smaller diameter and a little thicker would have done the job. Alternate use of course is for burgers but for that, it is too small. It's like McDonalds size. Happy meal, anyone? LOL. It is also disappointing that they do not sell extra containers separately, but for me they aren't tall enough anyway. This company is on the right track, but they do not know American eaters and cooks. I can see this having great appeal for Asian markets but here in Anerica, we eat American size burgers, and crab cakes need to be a little thicker so they don't fall apart when transferring to the skillet. It's not completely useless so I won't break their balls with the single star. I figure it is good for three. But if the issues I mentioned were properly addressed, this would be a 5 star item. And by the way, I do not actually store frozen stuff loose in a container lie that. Once frozen, I take them out and vacuum bag, to prevent freezer burn. You do not want all that air in contact with the frozen patties for long. Take them out and vac bag, if you will be keeping them for more than a week or two. Up until now I have simply frozen crab cakes flat on a cookie sheet or other flat surface, and then vac bag. I just have three traps at my dock, and catch at most, a dozen or so crabs in a day, so I have to make and freeze, to have enough for company.

Too "wobbly" - press needs to be sturdier
It does the job. One issue: I find the sturdiness / thickness of the plastic press to be too thin / wobbly. Therefore, when pressing burgers, often I see one side of the burger remains thicker, as the plastic in the press bends up versus forcing the ground beef to shift to the other side. Knowing what I know now, I would have selected another brand with a heftier or sturdier press.

Nice size patties
The containers are a perfect size for hamburger patties and work well when stacking in the freezer. The lids donโt stay tight on the container so you have to be careful when moving them in the freezer.

Hamburger Helper
This unit is great for making perfect hamburger for cooking right away or freezing. Noting that the frozen paddies retain their shape throughout cooking.
