Do the doors on this plane open?

I was playing with this yesterday with my grandson. The doors do not open. The only parts that move are the wheels that spin. My grandson has broken the front landing gear off after hours of rough play.

It's 5 1/2" long and 5" wide. Pretty small. But that's the normal size for the model planes that my son collects.

Yes, it is a 747, or actually a VC-25 in the military version.
