Grover 102C Rotomatic Tuners - 3+3 - Chrome

I'm an avid rock guitarist & do-it-yourselfer, and I bought and assembled a guitar kit a couple years ago, just on a whim. It turned out to be an awesome guitar, and the only thing that prevented it from being gig-worthy were the tuners (they couldn't stay in tune for five minutes, even with perfect bridge intonation). So I swapped 'em out for a set of these Grovers, and it made all the difference in the world. You can rock hard and shred to your heart's content without fear of going out of tune. They've got a great solid feel to them and look really nice. The 14:1 gear ratio is just right for precise tuning. One quick note: these machine heads are for 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) diameter post holes, so you might want to check your existing holes to see if they'll need to be modified. Of course, any luthier can drill them wider if need be, but it's just something to keep in mind. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who's looking to seriously upgrade their guitar's overall performance. Great buy!

These machine heads are first quality, simple to install and guaranteed for life. The gear on one of the original machine heads on my 1979 Guild D40-NT stripped. I took the machine head to my local music store and was told it could not be repaired since the gears are sealed inside the housing. I looked on E-Bay and found the original machine heads selling for $169 -- pitting and all. I looked on Amazon and found these Grovers. Got them in two days and installed them myself -- real easy, no drilling involved. The luthier at Guitar Center wanted $39 to install plus cost of machine heads. These fit, look and work great. I am so glad to have been able to repair and upgrade my trusty old friend myself!

Ordered. Delivered in 2 days. Good finish. Good fit. Installed one tuner machine on a Epiphone Les Paul Standard. No modifications needed the replacement tuner machine dropped right in. Did notice the shaft was longer than the original. Just wish they sold them in singles as I only needed one. The feel of the item is solid. It doesn't feel cheap. The mechanism felt good and tight and no adjustments were needed of any sort. Might swap out the other 5 at some point but honestly, at a glance, it looks really close to the stock. Thinking Gibson Les Paul might have a slightly thicker head stock thus the difference.

Shipped and arrived as expected. The tuners work well, much better than the original turners installed on this low end Samick acoustic. My only gripe is that the chrome plating is starting to pit after 2 years. But I guess that is to be expected with plating. I do clean them from time to time with a microfiber cloth. I'm happy with them. They stay in tune. They are tight when tuning unlike the loose low end tuners. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their machine heads. Cheers!

Since replacing my old tuners, my guitar stays in tune. It's like having a new guitar No more fumbling with every tuner 5 or 6 times and calling it good. Radical for this guitarist I just tune it and work on my lessons. If I had known before hand about Grover tuning keys I would have invested years ago. Don,t let this happen to you, you may have more talent than you think. If you find yourself on a plateau of having little progress, this may help

Bought these as an upgrade for the stock tuners that came with one of my project guitars, and they were worth every penny. They hold their tuning exceptionally well, and I almost never have to adjust my tuning while playing a gig. Installation was super simple; just bolted right in. The posts are the standard 10mm-diameter, so they should fit on most guitars. If you're looking for some awesome tuners at a great value, then look no further. I'll definitely be using these on future guitar builds.

I used these to replace some failing tuners on an old Yamaha acoustic guitar I had laying around. It's like a new guitar-- sure, the tuners are probably worth more than the guitar now, but it holds tune and plays noticeably better. Very solid tuners.

Lovely machine heads. Easy to fit and work well. Put them on a Gibson J-35 and an SG and they work fine - as expected. They offer a 14:1 ratio. Great value and used on many top end Gibson acoustics...

These are the gold standard for a reason. Thumbs way up!
