Everyone has heard of Albert Einstein-but what exactly did he do? How much do kids really know about Albert Einstein besides the funny hair and genius label? For instance, do they know that he was expelled from school as a kid? Finally, here's the story of Albert Einstein's life, told in a fun, engaging way that clearly explores the world he lived in and changed. Review: Book Report - This Who was. Series is great may of my kids have read them and they are educational but written in a way they donโt get bored Review: easy and informative read for pre-teens - My just turned 12 year old aspiring scientist read this book in a little less than an hour and liked it. I guess I should have done a bit more research and maybe got her something a little more in depth, but it was enjoyed and will be passed on to others to enjoy and learn from.

A great introduction to Einstein
This is a very good introduction to Albert Einstein for children. He lived in my home town for many years. There is one small issue. It says that after his wife and sister died he was "more alone than ever " Actually he lived with his stepdaughter who continued to live in his house for many years. She was a sculptor.

Perfect for my third grader's book report
My eight year old third grader needed a book for a book report project. There are mixed reviews on this book, so I was hesitant, but there aren't many options that are appropriate for a third grader on Albert Einstein. This book served it's purpose and my daughter enjoyed reading it as well (bonus!) She's an avid reader, so it was really easy for her, but I would say it's a good book for any elementary school aged child.

The greatest thinker of all time
I had known of him before I read this book, but thanks to it, I've understood much better who he was, what he did and what difficulty he went through. As we can tell from this book, he thought about anything that interested him more deeply than anyone on this planet, so it seemed like that he was more like a professional thinker than a scientist. My favorite quote of him is "For an idea that does not at first seem insane, there is no hope." This one comes up at the very beginning of this book, and this quote strongly encourages me to do whatever, other people think, is weird, silly or insane.
