Cheap fabric quality, finish, and details. Disappointing from Dockers!
A very poor quality product in comparison to the last batch of D3 Khaki's that I purchased from Dockers. On a side by side comparison with an old pair of Dockers D3's, here are the major differences: - Fabric finish on the old pants is smooth and ready to wear out of the dryer. The new pants are wrinkled and rough feeling to the hand. Same batch of laundry! - Fabric on the new seems coarse compared to the old. - Simple turned waistband on the new, stitched in, high quality fabricated waistband on the old. - Button closure on the new, button and clasp on the old. - Coarse and thin pocket fabric on the new, quality pocket fabric with a woven pattern on the old. - Through stitched hems on the new, blind stitched hems on the old. The new pants are cheap, and look cheap. It is unfortunate to see Dockers delivering such a poor product! I would gladly pay more for the old quality.

Poor Quality with Cloud Specifically. Otherwise great.
So, I have probably at least 8 pairs of these pants I got through Amazon, in varying colors. They fit well, look professional enough for my business casual work environment, and are the right balance of price and toughness... until now. I purchased a pair of "Cloud" color in November and threw it in the rotation. I wore it to work once and got home and noticed a tear towards the crotch of the pant, along the seam, but not a traditional tear. I figured maybe I just sat a funny way or something happened and I didn't notice. Chalked it up to bad luck as I'd never had a problem before. So, fast forward a month or so and I decide I liked the color so I order another pair. I wore them immediately the next day, after putting them through the wash, and again came home and noticed a tear in the same spot. I'd immediately though I'd accidentally put on the old pair that had the tear. Nope. Same tear pattern almost exactly in the second pair of pants. I'm convinced at this point that they came that way and I just didn't notice, as it isn't a gaping hole, and not something you can really see when wearing it. I was at my desk all day today and did nothing that could be confused as strenuous, so there's no way I ripped them at work. Oh well. As far as size, I have to order a little larger around the waste than I'd prefer in order to have it fall over my quads (if you lift weights/ride bicycles in a serious manner you may want to do the same) Edit: I want to add, Amazon has been amazing with my experience with these pants. They're replacing them (going to check new pair before I wear them) and I'll send these two pairs back. This is why, despite having stores nearby, I choose to go with Amazon.

Quality NOT Consistent / Different Qualities Received / Possibily a Hit or Miss In Terms of Craftsmanship
I am not sure how to review these pants... but something is definitely wrong with the quality and craftsmanship. I have ordered several pairs, in different colors, of Dockers D3 pants. Each pair received, have had a single button for the closure and a blue-colored band inside the waist. None of the other colors have had any problems however, I have ordered 2 pairs of the "Fog" colored pants in the same year. Each pair, ended up wearing down a lot around the knee section of each leg, to the point a large hole/tear had developed. I alternate between colors each week but for some reason, these Fog colored D3s have quality issues. Since I really like this color, I had to order another pair. My third pair arrived yesterday and the pants are completely different - The enclosure is now a button and metal hook, the band inside the waist is now orange instead of blue. The pants material also seems much heavier in terms of quality. I have always been a fan of Dockers and I now have D3s that have a single button, blue-colored band inside the waist, and D3s that have a button, metal hook, and orange-colored band inside the waist spanning several colors, some in the same color. The quality of the latter, is much more higher quality, rugged, and seems to last. I do not know what is happening with the quality of Dockers D3 styled pants but Amazon should be investigating this quality inconsistency. Because as a consumer, when you order from Amazon, it should not be a hit or miss what kind of quality you are going to receive.

Very comfortable, but prepare to get them hemmed
Title says it all. These pants are definitely comfortable, professional, and has a dressy enough look for a business casual (read: not wearing wool slacks) environment. But the other reviewers are spot on - they're easily an inch too long. The legs are also a bit on the wide side. I don't really mind, it's not like the wide leg baggy jeans from the 90s or anything. But compared to, say, skinny jeans, these have a lot of room. I normally wear a 32" waist, but due to *ahem* a little weight gain in the last 6 months or so, I went with a 33" waist. Fits just a little looser than my other 32" pants, so if you're unsure, go up on the waist just a bit. All in all, I'm happy with the pants and went ahead and bought a few pairs in different colors. With a little money spent on alterations, I'm quite pleased, and hope to wear these pants for quite some time.

tapered, looser, longer and poly-blended (compared to D2)
I've been wearing Dockers for at least 10 years and I've tried numerous varieties of them. Lately I have been wearing the D2 and D3 types. The difference between the two is that the D3 is cut looser, longer, and has a slight taper. These factors combined with the poly blend fabric make the D3's a better choice for work or dressier occasions. They look good with tucked in long sleeve button down dress shirts and black leather dress shoes. The D2 Dockers have a straight-leg cut that's not as comfortable for me. They also run slightly shorter and look more casual due to being 100% cotton. The poly-blend of the D3's help them stay wrinkle free and hold a crease better. The other difference between D3 and D2 is that the D3's also have a different way of closing. The D2's use a single button whereas the D3's use a metal clasp AND a button. The button is a secondary/backup closure. I like metal closures because they tend to stay attached to the pants better. The thread on buttons often gets loose. Metal clasps are also easy to open and close but the downside is that they can come undone easier. Having a button in addition to the metal clasp stops that problem. However, the fact that there's two closures is slightly more inconvenient than a single button closure. Overall I recommend the D3 fit for dressier situations and the D2 for more casual situations. The D2's look good with sneakers and an untucked t-shirt whereas the D3's do not. The D2 and D3 Dockers are both great pants at a great price and I recommend them both, you just need to know what you're going to use them for and what sort of cut you want. I'm 5'9" 148 lb and bought 32x30 in both the D2 and D3's. The D3's don't look too baggy although I might try a waist size of 31 or 30 next. The length is perfect in the D3's but a little short in the D2's. UPDATE: I no longer wear Dockers and since product lines change yearly the information in my review may no longer be correct. I switched to L.L. Bean chinos almost two years ago and like them MUCH better. I would lower my rating but that wouldn't be honest since I haven't worn them in so long that I can't remember much about them. I also don't want to delete my review because it's generated comments, some of which others might find helpful.

Poor Quality Fabric
These pants fit well, looked good, and failed almost immediately. I wore these pants 6 times and the front of the hem frayed. I work in management which means I work indoors. I wore them with dress shoes and they were not abused. Unfortunately I missed the window for return by 4 days. Very disappointed with Dockers quality and durability.

Poor quality
They fit great, but the fabric tears easily. I ordered 3 pairs, and within 5 weeks two of the pairs had torn in different places. I wasted $80 on pants that lasted little more than a month. These might be fine for the person that needs a pair for the odd wedding/funeral/job interview, but I would definitely not buy these if you plan on wearing them more than a couple times.

Great look and fit, but wear out quickly
I purchased these khaki's from Amazon on 8/25/2014 and am writing this review on 1/15/2014. I really like these Dockers, but the material quality is very poor. They fit well and look great when new, but they wear out very quickly, based on wearing the pants once or twice per week since I purchased them. I've worn a hole in the back pocket where I keep my wallet, several belt loops are threadbare, and the leg creases are showing threadbare areas as well. Khaki pants should last longer than five months. I had purchased a pair of these khaki's from Costco several months before I purchased this pair from Amazon. I had the same results from the Costco pair, but I thought perhaps cheaper material was used for the Costco product. Apparently not. Based on my experience with Dockers D3's, it seems like Dockers quality has really gone downhill. I still have a pair of Dockers I purchased in 2004, and they look great to this day. I plan to try some other brands now.
