Does it screech when opening?

Lol. I had to laugh at this. When I was younger, my mom’s ironing board used to screech when she would open it.. it was awful LOL

When folded, what is the measurement for storing?

When folded the board is only a few inches thick. Because the iron holder is not removable this board is best hung on a board hanger on a wall or door. Great board, VERY sturdy.

What is the board itself made of--metal, mesh, perforated, or that fibertech stuff? According to many of the reviews, the fibert doesn't last at all.
