Great puree used for Cocktail Syrups - used this with a 1:6 ration between this as Simple syrup to create an amazing passionfruit syrup for a Saturn Cocktail. Perfect size and case. Ended up freezing the majority oof it in its current container for later usage. Syrup is slightly sweet, but perfect amount of tartness without having to add any citric acid. Slightly thick, easy to mix, and fits perfectly in freezer or fridge. will buy other flavors next.

My current favorite passion fruit syrup for cocktails. I like the bright flavor. It does contain sugar but still is plenty tart. The container helps keep it fresh for a long time provided that I carefully squeeze the air out of the pouch before closing it.

I ordered this to make Smugglers Cove's passion fruit syrup recipe for tiki cocktails. Just equal parts simple syrup and this puree, came out great! I wish the shelf life was a bit longer than 10 days after opening it but adding some Everclear to the recipe extends the syrups refrigerated life to at least a month or 2 if you're okay with it becoming slightly alcoholic.

Third time ordering. Love the flavor. It’s the best of the four passion fruit concentrates I have bought from Amazon. This order one of two arrived with a hole in the package. Clearly an issue with the distribution center.....but the item is not returnable and I have no options on the website for recourse. Hence the 5 star product rating and the 1 star packaging rating. Updated April 2021, subsequent orders did not leak. Great product. Updating from 1 to 4 stars.

The perfect balance and celebration of flavor! Not watery, but doesn’t leave your cocktail sludgy, the thickness emulsifies well for every application! High quality, with the right tart to swee ratio for passionfruit! Doesn’t taste of sugar added at all

I don’t often write review but THIS ! Was looking for real fruit to make my drink base with rosemary , ginger ale and spicy rum. It’s was so delicious and felt like I was a real mixologist. Got so many compliments but the secret ingredient was definitely the fruit puree !!!!

Passion fruit is one of my absolute favorite flavors, but the fruits themselves are hard to come by where I live, so I went looking for a puree that tastes as close to the real thing as possible without being highly sweetened. This is it. Other passion fruit purees and syrups give off a gentle reminder of the fruit, but lack the sharp tartness and intensely tropical flavor of the real thing. Funkin, on the other hand, gets pretty dang close—I would say it's about 90% as good as the pulp from a freshly opened passion fruit, but much cheaper per ounce. (It takes an astonishing amount of fruits to get even just a cup of pulp!) I use it mostly in cocktails, where the passion fruit flavor really shines—blend equal parts puree and sugar by weight to create a syrup, then use that in your favorite tiki drink or in place of simple syrup in other recipes—but I have also used it to make various desserts, and it holds up fantastically in every application. Unlike many other tropical flavors like guava, it does not seem to lose much flavor with heat, which makes it very versatile. I would absolutely recommend it! A note about shelf life: This is obviously a very large amount (1kg), so I recommend opening it with a plan for how you're going to use it. The container suggests using it within 8 days of opening. Personally, I found that to be rather conservative; I had one open for 2 months, and almost a whole month went by before I started noticing a deterioration of flavor—and even then, it never spoiled! Just be sure to squeeze the air out before closing after every use.

BEWARE: lots of added sugar and non-returnable. The "passionfruit puree" is 86% fruit and then a bunch of sugar, so it will not work in cocktail recipes that call for passionfruit puree (without tweaking other parts of the recipe to reduce sweetness elsewhere). I ordered two of these (over $50), and when I realized this, I went to start a return and to order a different brand that does not add sugar. But once I started the return sequence, I got a message that this item (which just got delivered 30 minutes ago) is not eligible for returns -- so this $50+ purchase is unfortunately just going right in the trash. This is certainly partially on me, but the top-line description ("Simple ingredient" -- singular) is misleading.

Made a cheesecake with this and it was was a hit. This puree provides a tart, clear burst of passion fruit flavour. The product is "as advertised" and I mean that as a compliment. Will buy again.

Desperately needed passion fruit to make a dinner party dessert but lo and behold impossible to buy in the supermarkets as always out of stock. Gave up and ordered the Funkin Pro Passion Fruit Puree 1kg... It arrived very well packaged and was swiftly used to make a creamy dessert which worked wonders! My dessert called for 12 passion fruits, but instead I winged it by using 15 tablespoons of this instead and it turned out perfectly. Nobody ever questioned it.. we're none the wiser that I had used this instead of real fruit. The content is not a thick gloopy puree, but quite liquid (sounds right, as when you seive a passion fruit, thats also a load of liquid as not much pulp in there) afterall its marketed for cocktail use. The taste is fabulously tart and makes you wince when taken neat - its 90% fruit content so this proved a really great buy. I plan to freeze the remainder in an ice cube try and then chuck into an air lock bag as I won't be using this all at once. 1kg goes a looong way. Since ordering, Funkin Pro have replied to my query whereby I wanted to know how much of this puree is (officially) equivalent to 1 passion fruit? The answer is, 12.5ml of this puree equates to one whole fruit. so if your recipe calls for an x amount of fruit, just remember its 12.5ml of funkin pro passion fruit puree you need per fruit required.
