From the author of Welcome to the Opera and Welcome to Jazz, this musical picture book introduces children ages 4 to 8 to the wonders of classical music with 19 interactive sound buttons. Please take your seat. The concert is about to begin! Discover what a symphony is, who Beethoven was, what happens when a conductor takes the podium and faces of the orchestra, and when you should and shouldn’t clap during a performance. Welcome to the Symphony is a unique, interactive introduction to classical music, presenting one of the most famous symphonies ever written, by one the most famous composers who ever lived. With 19 sound buttons, you’ll hear the different parts and voices of the music—the beginning of “Symphony No. 5”, the melody, the harmony, the sounds made by a violin, a viola, a cello, a double bass, and more. And you can even sing along! Welcome to the Symphony is the first book in music educator Carolyn Sloan’s hugely successful Welcome to ... sound button picture book series that introduces classic musical genres to young readers, followed by Welcome to Jazz and Welcome to the Opera . “An ideal way to introduce children to the magic of music—delightful, charming, wonderfully entertaining, beautifully illustrated.” —Gerard Schwarz, Music Director, the All-Star Orchestra Review: Highly recommended- fantastic book - I can’t say enough good things about this book. This is is a fantastic book and my 3 year old and 1 year old read it at least 3 times a day. It’s so enjoyable and educational. The music is wonderful, the descriptions of the symphony, instruments, and elements of music are beautiful. I like how the pages have different types of print so i can choose which parts to read to my young kids who won’t sit for too long (sometimes we just read what the mice are saying or just the descriptions of the instruments if we’re in a rush.) Besides the music, my son is learning how to recognize and match numbers from this book because each sound is numbered in the book and in the sound bar. He is learning fine motor by pressing the button the right way. My son has a significant speech delay and difficulties expressing himself, but he can say and act out all of these instruments and musical elements in this book. He asks to listen to “the symphony” every day now on the radio. This book is the family favorite and I can’t wait to try out the jazz version. Review: A different audio book for all ages - Cool audio book, nicely done. Purchased for our teen grandson who loves audio books. I liked that it was not too babyish, it is always great to find age appropriate sensory material.

Great introduction to symphony
12.30.23 I got my grandniece a child's xylophone. Not that they need to be bought together, but this is a good introduction to music. The packaging was secure with no inner or outer damage. The design is very pretty and colorful. The notes match the found of the instruments. The book opens to the left and the instrument buttons are on the right. I highly recommend this as a tool for children and as play for adults. I definitely will buy this again.

Love this music book
There is no plastic tab to pull out to start the batteries. Below the battery case is a black switch that if you look carefully says on and off. Once I found that it was off to the orchestra! My 9 year old wants to be a maestro when she grows up and this was so bright and fun. Also it wasn't too loud or too soft@ Great buy.

Excelente!

Suoni bassi e Melodie brevi
Un po' costoso per il prodotto che si riceve. I suoni degli strumenti sono bassi e le melodie molto brevi, rimane comunque un buon prodotto ma dovrebbe essere piú economico
