Didn't come with required mounting strips rendering it useless

Works great. Suggest the one that you don't leave the key in while open. What would happen if someone locked your bike while parked somewhere

I purchase this lock for my bicycle. it did not bolt on as it a bike for the United State. I made it work on my bike.

Uncommon Lock. I purchased several of these in Holland. I placed one on the back side of the front fork and one on the back of the seat stays. I attached the locks by drilling 1/8 holes and attaching with stainless steel pop-rivets. 4 rivets per lock. I then sent the bike with my daughter to college. The locks are very easy to use. Since there is no place in her dorm to secure the bike it is left outside. She locks both wheels and uses a cable from one of the Abus locks to attach to a secure object. The other day my daughter called very distraught. Someone had tried to steal her bike in the middle of the night. They started removing the back wheel and then realized that it was locked on. I guess the thieves in the United States are not accustomed to frame locks and at night may have not even seen it until they got started. In any case I walked her through attaching her rear wheel and she was very happy that the bike was back in riding condition. Very simple to use and the key is not removable untill the bicycle is locked, so you will never forget the key.

I bought my Abus frame lock in Germany. I love this lock, it provides added security with my cable lock. The lock mounts on the bike frame and goes through the back wheel. At first, the key stuck in the lock when it was in the open position but after using it a few times, the key comes out with little effort. I have used the Abus lock without a cable lock but only when I could keep an eye on the bike. The lock keeps the bike from rolling but not from being carried away.

Solide gemachtes Schloss, das Sicherheit jedoch nur gegen Wegfahren, nicht gegen Wegtragen gewährleistet. Doch kann eine Stahldrahtschlinge hinzugekauft werden, die in einem Vorgang mit dem Schließen verriegelt wird und dank Lieferbarkeit in gestaffelter Länge zur Befestigung an festen Punkten der Umgebung oder am Rad selbst (bspw. durch das Vorderrad geführt) die Sicherheit erhöht. Bedingt, weil derartige Stahldrahtseile von Profis mittels Seitenschneidern schnell geknackt sind, was wieder die Option des Forttragens eröffnet. Problem: Unzureichende Beschreibung, deshalb erschwerte Auswahl der für das individuelle Radmodell geeigneten Variante, die für unterschiedliche Befestigungspunkte der Montage am Rad selbst angeboten werden. Keinerlei Gebrauchs- und Montageanleitung beiliegend, kleine, schlechte Fotos auf der Verpackung wenig hilfreich. Die beiliegenden beiden kleinen Montageschrauben passten bei meinem Rad nicht, doch bin ich zuversichtlich, die passenden im Fachhandel nachkaufen zu können. Insgesamt kein schlechter Kauf, absolute Sicherheit ist für hochwertige Räder in Berlin aus Gewichtsgründen nicht mehr verhältnismäßig zu gewährleisten, hier liegt wohl ein vernünftiger Kompromiss vor. Fazit: Schloss gut, Auswahl erschwert durch unübersichtliche Variantenbeschreibung, Gebrauchsanweisung und Montageanleitung fehlt gänzlich, beiliegende Montageschrauben individuell ungeeignet. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut. Durchaus empfehlenswert.

Va muy bien, aunque tuve que usar bridas para sujetarlo a la bici, para evitar hacer agujeros en mi cuadro. Buena compra. Tiene la ventaja de que la llave de queda puesta cuando lo abres, así no se te pierde.

Tout d'abord cet article est vendu sans les attaches. Ensuite, il n'est pas compatibles avec tous les VTT, et peut-être est-ce dû à cet article en particulier, mais le mécanisme est difficile à actionner. Bref 7.90 € de port + autant de frais de retour = expérience très décevante !

Der Versand erfolgte schnell und gut verpackt. Das Schloß dagegen befand sich nur in einer Plastiktüte, ohne Anleitung und mit zwei Schrauben, die leider nicht passten. Die richtigen Schrauben habe ich dann im Baumarkt gefunden; die Montage an mein Fahrrad ging dann problemlos vonstatten. Inwieweit das Schloss mein Fahrrad vor Diebstahl schützt, muß abgewartet werden, ich jedenfalls benutze es in Verbindung mit einem Abus Bordo Schloss. - Aus eigener Erfahrung weiss ich, dass Diebe so ihre Probleme mit Rahmenschlösser haben: Bei mir wurde einmal das Spiralschloss geknackt, aber das Fahrrad nicht gestohlen, da die Diebe das Speichenschloss nicht aufbekamen...

Dieses robuste Schloss ist nicht mal so eben im Vorbeigehen aufzubrechen. In Verbindung mit dem ABUS Dyto Zubehör Kabel kann ein Fahrrad gut gegen Diebstahl gesichert werden.
