MY remote control doesn't work for the camera, I've got a battery for it, taken the insulation sheet thing off and still nothing?

The above has been copied and pasted from the product description which states that it should work with the lens hood on. As pointed out by JOHN, he removed the hood and it worked. 
You shouldn't have to remove it because the description clearly states that it will work! 
People should stop being so complacent and allowing themselves to be ripped off by sellers' dishonesty with poor-quality products.

What battery charger is best for this camera?

Unfortunately IT DOES NOT HAVE A SEPARATE CHARGER ! And I have been mislead by peoples answers.
The Camera itself is the charger so you cannot be charging one battery whilst using another (I have just purchased the camera so can confirm my statement)
The badly translated tiny User manual does mention 'placing the battery into the battery box but it transpires that they are referring to the battery compartment in the Camera itself.
There is also some confusion caused by people trying to be helpful by providing answers on this forum, where they mistakenly refer to the mains adaptor that powers the Camera and or the charging power as the charger and which is decidedly wrong. That device is usually a 13amp 'box' not much bigger than the plug itself, which has a Lead exiting it with a USB plug on its end.
If you wait for my additional message I will research if as I suspect there is indeed a charger available separately and I will give details.
